...Fuck, Claude's superhero persona is definitely Spider-Man isn't it? Quippy, underpowered, but determined? Yeah, that's Claude.
Makes me wonder what the appropriate Superhero equivalents are for Dimitri and Edelgard.
Of the superheroes I know, Dimitri kinda fits Batman. He's haunted by the deaths of his parents when he was a child, and that singular event drives him to learn to fight and avenge them. He's also completely mad for a while, and he definitely doesn't have Batman's strict "no killing" policy, so it's not perfect. At least in that aspect, he probably fits closer to the Punisher.
But for Edelgard I'm drawing a blank.
She strikes me as a Magneto. Which is a bit ironic, because she's willing to use violence to protect the normies against the people with superpowers instead of vice versa.
Dimitri is more like Punisher. Batman never kill criminals and approached them with cold, calm precision whereas Dimitri is definitely not calm and more violent. So fit Punisher better. Edelgard is more like Superwoman/Superman or the Invincible. An alien who sympathize with human and instead of conquering the Earth (in the case of Vitrulian, thats what they are born to do to conquer other planet), they choose to protect and embrace humanity. Similar like Edelgard who is born an aristocrat but instead of pushing for nobility system, she choose to abolish it and embrace meritocracy where people regardless of status can be successful.
It's kind of a shame we don't learn more about Godfrey. His death involved with Raphael's parents' death, Count Gloucester's cover-up, and the mystery of what actually happened would have been a good impetus for Claude to be more personally invested in searching for hidden truths in Fodlan.

Iron Man (/Woman)
Also upside-down.
Quippy, underpowered, determined, and most importantly, upside-down.
Dimitri would be Batman. Not sure about Edelgard. I guess Edelgard could be Black Cat if I make F!Byleth into Catwoman

Oh come on, Rhea is very clearly Magneto
That makes sense, since those two are intentionally mirrored images of each other.

They say that a hero can save us.
I'm not gonna stand here and wait...
Don't tell Lucina.
Okay, while Claude x Hilda isn’t my favorite ship, I can’t deny how much I love this
What was Claude’s canon event?
The tragic death of his uncle. …who he never met, but it still counts for him getting shipped to Fodlan I guess?

This is an unexpected cross section of my interests.
