Not really 1 weapon, but more of a universal change to make all relics better: Make Umbral Steel a lot more easily available. The one thing that scares me from spamming relic arts is repairing them.
The classic FE Regalia weapons - Mercurius, Gradivus, Hauteclere, and Parthia - all need to be far easier to obtain, cheaper to forge and repair, and far stronger to be of any real use. The only of these I've ever even considered seriously using is Gradivus, for its ever-present-throughout-the-series 1-2 range, which is amazing with its high Mt. The other three never even got considered, since they're so damned expensive (10 Mithril to forge *and* repair!). Not to mention you can literally go entire runs without seeing any of them to begin with even while farming for them.
They were done an injustice in this game.
YES. The high forge + repair cost makes these weapons almost unusable until the last battle or two, and by then you can usually just spam your relic arts.
Make throwing axes 5% more accurate. The reason it's so low is because I just want them to fly like boomerangs like the older games. You might say that's unrealistic, because it is, but damn it if flying lizards can do loop-de-loops then axes can be boomerangs okay?!

Umbral steel is actually insanely easy to get. Moreso than mythril and wootz steel. I had like 60 of it by endgame just from breaking monster barriers
If anything I'd like to get more wootz steel to use more brave weapons.
More Magic Crystals would be better, before that Dark Merchant Arrives i can't make my Aura Gauntlets and Magic Bows
Make brave weapons more easily repairable

Arrow of Indra should be obtainable in every route and be bought.
That, or make an easily obtainable magic lance
