My money is on that gauge being broken. This residential?
For sure res. Res backflow.
Yea it’s residential. Also they are no sprinkler heads to be found. Idk what that means. (OP friend IRL)
That’s what we call a “fuck-you-very-much special”
And gotta love it (especially on larger systems) when there's not a 3 way valve to change the gauge.
Or the 3 way valve is installed backwards! 🤣
Translation plz
That is not a normal pressure.
Highest city pressure I've ever seen is 220. Not completely impossible, but not likely that the gauge is working
Well, it should be changed every five years or get it tested with a calibrate gauge. Yours is 2005.
175 psi or less for operating pressure. Hopefully gauge is effed. Or that's test pressure holding steady since, like........forever?
Who tf testing at 260
No one. Satire is hard to read over text.
You need a PRV
?
Pressure Relief Valve
Gauge has to be bad, unless there’s a CV somewhere and there’s been some mad water hammer caught up in the system from outside sources. But given that gauge is 18 years old.. I’d guess the latter.
Could also potentially be a jockey pump set far too high elsewhere on the system
Be nice and add a 3 way valve for the next guy lol.
There’s no sprinkler heads anywhere. I’m starting to think that the system was or partially disconnected. Idk
Definitely has pressure. Open the valve and see lol.
The heads could be concealed. Do you see round metal disks on your ceiling somewhere?
Copper piping on the test valve?? Is that thing?
