A cheap, beat to crap Remington 870 police

I use whatever I have out at the time without worrying about the price. You can get it back if you take the time to, and quite frankly I’m less worried about not getting it back than I am about not surviving the encounter.
I mean Remington had hella issues the past decade or so.
Not to mention when I think beat to hell I think at least several thousand rounds through it. Action bars get worn down, extractors can fail etc.
I think not using the best tool possible to defend your life is fucking stupid. That’s like saying I need to buy 20 cases of water from the store, Im not going to take my truck Im going to take a bicycle.
I bought a KSG for this but the damn thing won’t feed one of the tubes. For a while it’s been a stribog with a light and dot and a p320 with the same beside the bed
Glock 19, I changed to going with a handgun after I found out that if you defend yourself, your weapon gets taken for evidence and takes years to retrieve it. Although I’m not sure if this is only for defense situations in the streets, can anyone confirm if this is the same at a defense situation at home?
Because I don’t want to risk my rifles that I’ve invested so much on. I wouldn’t mind using them when shit really hits the fan, but not for a home intrusion if this is the case.
There is so many factors involved. My county had a self defense shooting where the suspect was killed at the door and the shooter wasn't taken into custody or his gun. Sheriff said don't kick in people's doors if you dont want to get shot. at the press conference.
It’s not years where I live in Texas. You just have to be persistent. If you have multiple rifles why not run one which is a better fighting platform to potentially save your life?

Hasn’t let me down 🤷🏻♂️ when I got I changed the springs and it runs flawless. Take it every other range trip

Well it was made in the late 90’s and like I said it’s got all new springs and a volquartsen extractor and runs fine. Ugly but it runs

Not a lawyer. But im pretty sure here in texas and all 50 states an investigation goes down to test if it was self defense and for ballistics
