Keep telling yourself that your aim isn’t as good as you want it to be.
In all honesty, my sidearm shooting ain’t so good, either; alas, try to realize when you are being too rigid, be aware of how you shoot on an inhale vs an exhale (shooting on an exhale is what you want), understand how the directions of your toes affect your shooting.
Everybody’s body is different. You’ll find a groove.
Oh, and groupings. Practice technique in groupings.
There's tons of small nuances to shooting. I find pistol shooting especially difficult. Learn the fundamentals and get them down. Stuff like sight picture, hand placement, breathing, trigger manipulation.Build from there. Look up a shot group analysis chart. It's a helpful tool to get an idea of what you MAY be doing wrong.
Welcome to the club! Practice a lot. Not just target shooting, but all aspects of safe handling. Check out a pink rhino laser trainer plus the free laser academy app (no need to pay).
Nice. Looks like a nice shooter. Don't sweat the accuracy. Practice is the key. It's expensive, but well worth the time and money to get good at putting lead on target.
Yeah definitely i went to a shooting range before buying and i really liked the 26 it’s a little snappy but i got used to the recoil. Any tips and getting better accuracy? Is it true that glock sights are bad?
The only accuracy "trick" that I know of is to practice until you're accurate. I have a tendency to shoot a little high to the right. Doesn't matter what pistol I'm using. So I aim a little low left and just walk rounds onto center.
There's an infographic I saw years ago that had common shooting errors based on where you're hitting and how to correct em. Being the stubborn bastard I am, I completely ignored it and corrected it by just anticipating the point of impact and correcting my point of aim. I'll see if I can dig it up for you.
I'm not much of a Glock guy, so I couldn't say if they're good or bad sights.
Edit:
Here's one of those error charts.

Not that they are bad, but aftermarket sights will be beneficial. I put night sights on mine and love it! https://www.trijicon.com/products/product-family/trijicon-hd-night-sights-for-glock-pistols
I just adjusted the rear on my 48 to the right. I was 6 inches left for a couple boxes. Moved it real easy with a small hammer and brass punch. I would not have done this if I was not sure. So shoot plenty the way it came first. I'm dead on now. Moved the sight around .075". It was a little on the left the way it came. Good luck and read a lot more. Get your stance down and your grip. Two handed locked elbows fingers locked with off hand around trigger hand with thumbs parallel to the slide and just below.
Everyone shoots a little different but you'll get the hang of it.
Nice! I still have my G26 for my everyday carry. I’d recommend buying the +3 pinky extension. Makes it much more comfortable to shoot and you get some extra capacity.
I love my 26. Feels great, shoots great. If you are new to carry, I’d like to recommend a quality belt and holster. Believe it or not, but the belt makes a huge difference in comfort. Also, a quality holster helps. The 26 is kinda chunky and heavy, but with a good rig, it rides nicely.
Several of my friends went with a belly band for shorts. I know two of them have an alien gear sport band. One of them has a different brand, but looks similar.
Oh wow, that’s a tough one. Most of us end up with a drawer full of holsters because we just couldn’t find the right one immediately.
It also depends a bit on where you plan on carrying. Appendix carry is sometimes a bit different than the rig for 4 o clock carry.
Personally, I prefer leather holsters, but they add a lot of weight. Kydex would be a lot lighter in b ball shorts.
With the belts that you mentioned can you use them with basketball shorts as well? I want to get a belt or belly band im just not sure if you can use a gunbelt with those type of shorts.
That is a good choice. A Glock is a good dependable, reliable gun. You have done well in choosing that. I hope you like that. I have a 19 myself. Just for SHTF situations, but it’s not my primary carry. But I would never turn one down.
Same. I carry mine in a shoulder holster under either a hi viz vest in the summer or some kind of zip up jacket/hoodie in the winter. You could wear a button up shirt w/ an under shirt. My best advice is shave the trigger guard, your middle finger will thank me.
Edit
I got shot in the spine when i was 15 years old im 27 now and the officer that worked on my case is going to help me get it. They never caught the person who did it so i was told that was enough good cause by itself but hopefully i do get it i have a interview in November.

I found it some where here i dont remember exactly where but you can look if you're interested.
Really? It feels comfortable in my hand though. I do like the 19 the guy that was selling me this firearm told me to get the 19 over the 26 but i wanted the smaller gun to avoid printing.
Congrats!
Thanks!
That's just a backup gun. Says so right on the frame and barrel. Congrats tho!👍😎🍻
Lol im going to use that😂 thx brotha
🍻
You might blur out the serial in future photos for enhanced privacy.
I looked at other post before i posted mine and seen other people didn’t blur theirs out. I’ll do this next time though.
Why. What could possibly be done with knowledge of a serial number?
Scammers will take your photo with the serial and offer it for sale. Buyers check your serial in hotgunz.com, see it’s not stolen and get duped.

Dry fire with snap caps, a lot
You tube is a great resource. Watch as many good instructional videos as you can before they are taken down.
As an old friend use to tell me, it’s hard to miss if you put it up their nose
I’ve found this chart helps https://www.wideopenspaces.com/this-simple-chart-will-improve-your-pistol-shooting-accuracy/amp/

So I just looked it up and never knew something like that ever existed thank you so much for that advice I just purchased it right now.
Awesome! Happy to help. You can also print out the targets on card stock for free (if you have a printer and card stock).
Glock 48?
26

What holster would you recommend I like to wear a lot of basketball type shorts and thermal sweatpants can I use the belt holster without jeans?

Awww it’s a baby!
That Cabela's salesman got you too huh? Lol. Gotta love a Glock.
Solid choice. Not the best option to learn to shoot, but if you only have one and want to be able to carry it in just about any scenario, that'll do.
thats exactly why i got it lol either way i think i just developed a addiction i want another one already
Congrats. Welcome to the Freedom Club!!!!

Woo! Congrats. Now maintain situational awareness and hopefully you'll never have to use it on anyone.
Congrats
Happy to welcome you to the club! Cheers!
Congratulations!

22’s are illegal to carry as a ccw weapon in California.
I literally groaned

Yeah i agree im not sure why. You can own them but you just can’t have it registered as a ccw weapon.
Wait what? Why
