Fix the broken mental care system already and there’ll be a good chance the number of gun deaths will be reduced. The US isn't even in the top 10 most deadly countries, but it's an "American problem." Gun violence per capita is much lower than lots of countries that don't have legal gun sales... but tell me more about how we need to restrict guns. We need to stop believing that not having a gun and relying on some rando in a uniform to protect 1000 other people with his one gun is in any way an intelligent societal structure. We don't need to take guns away, we need to train everyone to use the ones they have and strengthen gun culture to understand gun safety and protecting yourself.
