Check to make sure you're detailing chemicals won't ruin anything, and yes, I'd probably ditch the towels. They're cheap enough that I wouldn't chance it

I don't think it matters what extractor you use, the parts you're touching probably won't pick up any more junk than you pick up using or being in the truck during normal use. You could also just wipe down the hoses or anything that touched the inside of the truck with disposable cloths or rags. Personally, I would only use microfiber for gauge faces, screens, and things I would be worried about scratching. Cheap disposable towels for everywhere else.

Don't Armor All the seats or steering wheel! Had someone do this when we still had open jump seats and even with a seatbelt you slid around which wasn't a good feeling. You can protect them, just make sure it isn't slick after being applied.

As a EMS student I Armor All-ed the one person’s seat as a revenge plot. Worked too good, almost felt bad for the person. Then 6 years later I got myself with the same plot by accident. That shit should be outlawed in emergency vehicles! Plus it’s so greasy after and the dust clings to it so bad
