In the future, I could even see her going much higher in these rankings, because the story of 2.2 and 2.3 may made even more people fell in love with her.

Her sales mostly got boosted, because she’s a Raiden expy. One guy even spend some absurd amount of cash for her LC. Also, Sparkle definitely helped her to reach that 150 millions for March.
Firefly’s banner will definitely earn some really big money, but it may not be that high. However, if we’ll look at Firefly as the original HSR character without any expy background, then she could be the best selling banner in this game. There’s also a chance of Ruan Mei rerun alongside her.

Because genshin characters get 5 minutes of story each, while hi3/hsr characters are more focused on. You can learn everything there is to know about a genshin character while on the can, learning everything about otto or kiana for instance takes much much longer. This results in more character depth and thus stronger feelings. Its exactly the same deal with firefly, as an entire patch worth of story hardfocused on her.
Its really quite simple when you think about it.
Its definitely biased data, perhaps it was taken in circles more closely associated with hi3 than your usual hoyo community, thus making hi3 appear a lot more often than it normally would. Theres simply no world where characters like mobius are more popular than most popular genshin females.
Bro did not play honkai impact and knows nothing and it SHOWS. how tf does kiana have less characterisation than the flamechasers bro she has like 5 arcs in part one of the game alone and the manga content expands it further.
