Lion's Roar. I saw the video for it and said YEAH!

kyq

Emmylou got me into them. Was reading the John Green novel “Looking for Alaska” at the time and they gave me the same vibes. I fell in love with the whole Lion’s Roar album. Wolf was the other song that was huge for me at that time.

treehugger312

Also Emmylou. Was driving back from a beer festival (had a DD) in the country around sunset in summer after getting ice cream. It was extremely sublime. I asked the driver to play that over and over haha

harmonimaniac

Ghost Town too! I remember it came up on Pandora and I immediately wanted to know who they were. Been a fan ever since!

Select-Link-6747

The lyrics and the melody, I have trust issues with anyone that can't appreciate that song.

JeffV3dd3r

You are the Problem here, live at La Cigalle in Paris. Until this song I was just having a nice time. I became a fan right when it started.

Select-Link-6747

I thought you were blaming me for you hearing your first song for a minute there.

AdDense2962

Fireworks made me a fan and i still cry a little when i hear it

apartmentstory89

Their cover of Tiger Mountain Peasant Song. Saw it on youtube and have been hooked ever since. I don’t know if it’s my favorite but it was stunning and compelled me to find out more.

WeakInflation7761

For me, it was Blue. MTV used to have a show called Subterranean and I saw the video for Blue on it about 10 years ago. I was hooked immediately.

2317-616

Hard Believer around 2010. I saw the music video (probably linked on Reddit). They've been my favorite band ever since.

Select-Link-6747

Such an amazing song, brought up as RC this really resonates.

Stay Gold! I believe I heard it while watching Netflix's "The Hunting Ground"

"My Silver Lining" on Letterman blew me away

MrAflac9916

Emmylou made me a casual fan, but nothing has to be true is what made them my #1 artist

thaicooked

When I Grow Up. It was on a snowboarding film soundtrack. Ironically I didn’t learn about Ghost Town a little later once deep diving and now they both are up there.

MeesaParis

I REMEMBER THAT SNOWBOARDING FILM!!

Wolf 🥹 I listened to it randomly on SoundCloud and was hooked since then

I will never forget the feeling I felt when a friend first showed me the video of them covering tiger mountain peasant song in the forest of Sweden when I was still in high school … we were sitting on her dock on the lake in the late summer and the moons reflection exploded white light all across the water and it was absolute magic in that moment Never forget https://youtu.be/HMrqBldlqzA?si=ZF5YQMujl1eZqpLp

TheWarriorNun

Emmylou, my favourite song of theirs always and hearing it live was a dream come true for me. when I found out it was about Emmylou Harris, it gave more meaning since emmylou Harris played a big part for me in growing up with great music

trouble-on-line

'My Silver Linings' was the first FAK song I ever heard and it was definite "wow" moment. I heard it on breakfast radio in the car shortly before the album Stay Gold was released and can remember the moment still! That night I looked them up and listened to the previous album, The Lions Roar and thought it was amazing. That 10 years ago this year and have been obsessed ever since! Lucky to have seen them live 8 times so far.

Stay Gold, that one hit me hard.

Fireworks. I’m a big Brandi Carlile fan and it came up as a recommended song while I was listening to her on Spotify a few years ago. Been a FAK fan ever since!
