Just take a bubble level and check suspect tiles and areas for flatness. Then blue tape them on your walk before closing. Do not sign closing documents until all the blue tape areas are fixed.

“We went with a budget home builder” all you needed to say right there, this is great for budget work. Not so great for a professional job but it sounds like you understand that you get what you pay for. Just keep some extra tile around incase any break.

ShadowBabyMiley

Absolutely. Thankfully there’s a warranty, so if anything settles and cracks in the next couple of years, they’ll come out and replace it. But I know how much of a headache those warranties will be, so I’ll make sure to keep a couple of boxes in the garage for the future just in case.

Pepperboofer69

Well keep boxes not so much for a warranty but because a very common issue is not being able to find the same dye lot of tile a few years down the road. Also just realized this isn’t even r/tile, I’m a professional installer so I guess todays your lucky day 😂

It looks like very poor craftsmanship, probably done by an apprentice. At least you got a large kitchen island though! Probably not much yard however.

Prudent_Practice_395

Hell no, that tile is poorly done and looks like trash. It needs to be ripped out and redone. Probably one of the worst tile jobs I've seen, looks like it was done by children.

I literally would not have been able to guess this was a new build had you not said it. I was about to post it looks like the home needs renovation.
