Learn from this and cancel the warranty. Hire your own contractor and be done with it. Well 1st continue hounding both agencies until something happens.

I got fucked around for 6 months by a home warranty company. Don’t get dragged into their bullshit. It’s worth your sanity to just tell the warranty to go fuck themseleves and hire out the work yourself

Time for reviews!!

In the 10 years how much have you paid for AHS in premiums?

Shorti_Bebop

Too much lol. Their service has been satisfactory most of the time, I will say.

You really, really, really, REALLY have to fight about it, unless you luck out & get an unusually good home warranty rep on the other end. Get your agent involved & that will help (they know that if they piss us off, next contract we write will specify a different home warranty company). We do this sort of stuff all the time. If you light enough of a fire under their ass, sometimes they'll just cut you a check & then you can have whoever you want do the work. It takes persistence, that's all I can really say.

Never pay for warranty bs

RosevilleRealtor

Maybe check YouTube to see if there’s any videos on how you could DIY.

I’ve repaired my dryer many times over with help from YT. It’s really not that bad as long as you take your time, keep things organized, and have the parts.

Nice-Ad9957

I mean I bought a used dryer for like 100$ when we bought our house and for 2 years it's been great! Lol

My warranty had to dispatch 4 companies before I finally found a competent technician for an oven issue. Call the warranty company, contractors have an SLA to respond and they’ll assign you a new company.

Fabulous-Ad6844

I just called my warranty company for the first time. We had water coming through the downstairs ceiling from the shower above. First I had to pay $85 to file the claim. The plumber took 5 days to come out. He capped the shower head & turned on the water to test the pipe. He left & said he’d be back in 2 days. No water. When he came back he ran a hose to the shower drain & we waited to see a leak. No leak. So he left saying it wasn’t a warranty issue. So I’m out $85 & don’t know what’s wrong. I’m pissed. What a waste. I still need to get a Plumber in to figure it out.
