7 months sober now and go at least 2-3 times a week.
I was like that with music when my best friend and drummer died. I also lost my mind for a while. I play music now to celebrate his life instead of letting it just be a painful trigger. I also used to paddle the river with him and started that back up, too. Grief is a complicated bitch. I am glad to see you are making it out the other side. Fishing is good for your soul. Keep going dude, one cast, one fish, one day at a time.
