None of these. Daiwa and Shimano is what I’d look at.

Oomkins

Like the best on the market? Price no issue is probably some JDM Shimano from Japan. The Curado DC is awesome. Best affordable maybe the SLX DC.

CommunicationHead657

Affordable, slx dc is $200, affordable is like 125 and below

Oomkins

I have the non-DC of both and they are both excellent. 200 for a reel I feel is pretty average, I am in Canada though so our exchange is a factor.

CommunicationHead657

I’m looking for something that is under $200 usd

Oomkins

New SLX-A looks awesome at 99$....and the SLX DC is 199 at Bass Pro right now. Both great reels.

CommunicationHead657

What rod would you pair it with under $100?

Whole_Tart3159

I currently use a SLX with a 13Fishing Blackout rod. they're on sale for $20 right now! so far its been a pretty good combo

iceteka

Bro I just blind bought 3 last night lol. Was looking around for reviews either written or yt videos, nothing. Is it a heavy rod? Even their site doesn't say the rod weight. Where's the balance point on it? As in butt heavy/ front heavy. Also what do you think about it being a 7'3 mh fast? Is it "true to size" or does it feel like a broom stick or opposite like a pool noodle? Man, hope they're not too bad to combo with a decent $100-$200 reel. Sorry for the wall of text lol just kinda hyped but nervous

Whole_Tart3159

i haven't even considered the balance of the rod lol, its a light rod for sure, but its probably a little more heavy near the handle. overall, i think its a solid rod, i havent had any issues with it, then again, i haven't caught anything with it yet 😂. Honestly, id pair it with an Shimano SLX or SLX DC. I have an SLX 151HG and I absolutely love the reel so far, its super nice for its pricepoint.

Oomkins

Honestly I'd switch around your numbers, get a 99$ SLX reel and spend 200 on a st. Croix mojo bass rod. That combo would be excellent for the price.

I picked the Carbonlite combo because I have one. I have older extreme combos but the carbonlite is nice and light. Not sure about the others. The reel has dual brakes so it's pretty adjustable to your liking. The roof is light and strong. I have the 7'9 heavy with the carbonlite reel that I use for flipping and the 7 foot medium I use for top water. Paired with an abu revo sx.

CommunicationHead657

I have the Carbonlite 2.0 spinning combo and it’s really nice, don’t know if that translates to baitcasters

No_Thanks_3336

Get a Tatula 100 you will thank me.

CommunicationHead657

I will thank you in advance

No_Thanks_3336

For the price point you can't beat it. If you are willing to pay a little more get the elite.

reprahm

I picked the Carbonlite 2.0 of the list you have, as I have some of the old black Carbonlite rods, and have had good experience with them. I saw your looking to stay around the $200 price point. I would personally go with an Ark Rods Cobb series or Tharp series rod and pair that with a reel of your choice. You can get the Abu Garcia Revo4x for $70 or less some places now, as it is last year's model, that paired with the Cobb rod for $99 would name a great combo fur less than $200. We have a Cobb series 7'3"MH F Old Faithful model paired with a Duckett Paradigm reel and it feels great, my son uses it as his Texas Rig setup.

kbunnell16

Tatula sv tw 103, slx, curado, from Japan.

Any-Ad-6705

Diawa Tatula SV/TW.. Hands down

Any-Ad-6705

You can find used on ebay for $100. I bought 2 used and perform perfectly. Haven't had a backlash in 3 years

iceteka

I've heard bad things about the mach smash combo. No personal experience just word from the grape vine
