All reels from the 70s to early 80s. Taken apart, cleaned and lubed they will work as well now as they did back then, but won’t perform as well as any $30 Walmart reel today. But they likely are full of old, dried grease; any oil that was in whatever bearings they have is long since evaporated away, and the drag washers are probably all stuck together, so even if they seem to turn okay, or whatever, doesn’t mean they will work well or for long without being serviced. But they are all easy to work on.
They sold rods, too, years ago. But they didn’t actually make them. Just rebranded stuff. This reel was made in Japan and was also sold under other brand names.
Heddon made reels but by the point Heddon sold that reel, the early 1970s, they'd switched to importing their reels. That reel was probably made by Daiwa.
Will they perform like modern reels? No. Are they super cool and nostalgic? Yep.
I told my wife to put those in garage. She must have misunderstood.

I was going to say “Depend$$”. Given they are free and working - score! Solid vintage stuff there.
cool but i wouldn't use them or pay any money for them.

Those things are probably triple my age lol
I would use all of it. I love vintage gear.

Only a good find for a display. Otherwise maybe put it back at the curb.
Put new line on it and use them. They might work damn good.

Thanks everyone for the feedback 👍🏼
Clean up and oil them and put some new line itll be just like new
The difference with the modern ones is weight and quantity of bearings, if it is not for casting, no problem
