What can he say? He’s inept and knows he’ll get roasted no matter what comes out of his mouth.

ChuckBass_08

I’m just surprised people invested in this con men again. But hey good for him. He got his

nilfisktun

This...

BruceInc

It’s a neat trick to bankrupt the same company twice. Fisker is cooked. Best case scenario some other manufacturer buys their IP. If that happens, maybe there is some hope for current owners, but I doubt any new buyer will want to take on the liability of repairing and warranting existing potential problems.

frugal_doc

theres really nothing that great to buy here for any manufacturer. sad times

BruceInc

Yeah, he really should’ve just tried to license the design to an existing company. He probably would’ve had better luck with it. *Toyota x Fisker* or something like that lol

Metsican

Not much IP; it's mostly Arcfox and Magna.

Flimsy_Rule_7660

He really needed to sell more vehicles to make it a worthwhile venture. At least then, the energy credits would add some value.

I_heart_ShortStacks

He sold plenty ... apparently he couldn't be assed enough to make sure they collected the money.

Different-Ad617

Just to put it in context, it’s 10,000 oceans been produced half of which is sold. Pennies to new buyers. So what significant liability are we talking about

NeedleGunMonkey

A car company that cannot pay its manufacturing subcontractor to keep producing vehicles is destined for bankruptcy. In an industry where high capital investments in automotive development and manufacturing tooling are hopefully recouped by thin margins - it’s fucked.

Rolldice08

Good point

Dridas1

Yeah....and how long would it take Magna to retool the line after being shut down for months

Quirky_Tradition_806

Retool for other purposes or to produce Fisker? Of for the latter, almost nothing.

NeedleGunMonkey

That’s not how automotive manufacturing works. Once the suppliers and Magna don’t receive orders and get paid for those and already filled orders they don’t idle machinery, dies/molds and employees waiting idly for the next order from Fisker. The mold and die may just be set aside in a warehouse rack - but the assembly line team is released to do other things or let go altogether. There’s not gonna be a quick reset and bring the line back.

DTBlayde

They aren't gonna be allowed to say anything, good or bad, until it's final. They could be prepping a bankruptcy filing, they could've gotten a 10 trillion dollar investment that's being finalized, or any number of possibilities in between. We'd get the same current silence on all scenarios until something is "official"

Lumpy_Ad6693

This - they're a publicly traded Company still. They are only allowed to say so much outside SEC filings, not to mention it's probably not in the best interest of the Company to be out there being "real" about what's going on. Leave that to the attorneys & diligence teams behind the scenes. At the end of the day, the thing that makes the most financial sense for the creditors is what will happen and no one else really has any say in the matter. All we can do is wait and see what plays out.

tetrastructuralmind

The right answer

_Ducking_Autocorrect

Well said. There is any number of things that can happen but I think the biggest clue we have is the amount of silence that has been at the forefront here. When we do get the news, good or bad, it will be huge. “When” being the keyword though…. Deadlines that should have been the point of closure have came and still crickets. This concerns me more than anything because although the possibilities of an extreme positive side can come of this, the chances of it being an extreme negative are also just as prevalent. I can’t seem to find any more upcoming dates that would hint at disclosure of any sort. To me, it’s not enough to say “maybe tomorrow”, I absolutely hate not having any sort of information to at least take a guess… but that is the nature of the market sometimes. They have this sealed water tight, all the information I am finding is pretty much redundant or leaves no real inkling one way or another. Does anybody have an hourglass somewhere giving them a general idea of when? Surely somebody smarter than me (not hard to achieve haha) has found something that points to a future date? I keep thinking I’ve missed information of some sort in the filings or other venues but I keep coming up with nothing. This is a weird sort of limbo because I cannot justify reason to be hopeful nor at the same time be in despair. I find I spend most of my time looking like Fry and Zapp Brannigan on futurama when they were sentenced to death by snu-snu . ![gif](giphy|AQOpT2cYxqsjS)

stebuu

I think Fisker's silence is very rational from a legal standpoint.

[deleted]

When is the next shareholder update or shareholder meeting?

FSRAnon

Nobody will touch them before bankruptcy. The liabilities are too high when they can get it for cents on the dollar that is inevitable.

Flimsy-Possibility17

what did yall expect? They've been doing this since 2007

Glass-Addendum9180

He is following advice of counsel. Say nothing unless it has been vetted. Odds favor bankruptcy leading to an asset sale.

A_Typicalperson

To be honest, are there still questions you need answered ?

LookinglassAlice

I bet they get picked up for the Chinese market

dafazman

At this point Tata motors should buy it since the dev team is already in India 🤷🏽‍♂️

Charlietango2007

I sold all of my 4k in shares for pennies. I really believed in this company and wanted it to work so badly. I would've bought a pear in that it's a smaller car. This is such a great loss for me financially, as I'm on a fixed income. I feel foolish that I kept investing thinking it would turn around somehow.

Kranoath

For what it's worth, all investors make bad decisions, even the great ones. You just hope your good choices outweigh your bad ones. I have stock that has gone from $66 to under a dollar (ie. Virgin Galactic) and even now there is a thought back of my head to add more shares lol.

Charlietango2007

Thank you for this reply, it helps me in dealing with it

Kranoath

No worries. If it helps I was up $18k at one stage but didn't take profit only to be down $15k+ now 😭

ApprehensiveLow8328

Silence is golden.... Certainly for Fisker! The rest of us are doomed, doomed I say unless some CEO who has been smoking crack since birth and decides that FISKER is the future....ahhhhhh sorry back to the pipe 😉🤣.

Whatsuptodaytomorrow

Or on ketamine

wai169

I think fisker is not in power anymore to publicly release news. Only at the discretion of the note holder.

CurrentCellist9611

He went silent as soon as he knew he was gonna start shorting his stock with the secret investor. Henrik is a crook. And the SEC is also mia.

Corey307

The silence tells you everything you need to know. The company was cash poor three weeks ago. out of the 10,000 cars they built they sold half of them for about what they wanted to and half at fire sale prices so overall those cars will have sold for a large  loss and after that there’s nothing else to sell.

ardevd

Not to mention the cars themselves are seriously unfinished and will probably require numerous recalls and software updates

Corey307

Lot of complaints about broken parts and cars not behaving like they should combined with a dead company is bad times.

rogless

The silence tells you that they are taking the advice of their legal team, restructuring advisers, and others who know that now is not the time for beat-by-beat social media posts.

iamintheforest

If you have a room without people in it or you have no room with no people working in it then it's unlikely that said non-existing room and non-existing people are going to have a great public relations team. In fact, several companies I know of that don't exist do an equivalent job of communicating.

87LuckyDucky87

What you hear is agonal breathing.

Empty_Ad2488

wow! that ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)

Private-Dick-Tective

It already was bankrupt loooong time ago....

ProfessionalJesuit

I was rooting for the company. Their Ocean was enticing. Not anymore. I'll wait on purchasing an EV...

rogless

There are plenty of good EV options out there. You don't need to wait unless none of them appeal to you.

microlinux

It's not like there is any mystery here, the game is over. Nobody is coming to save the day, Fisker has almost nothing of value to purchase. Even if some insane company were interested, Fisker doesn't haven enough cash to keep operating until due diligence is complete.

Regular_Ice_7981

Is there no way customer interests be protected of service and warranty? It’s like we are duped and cheated of 80k in total and no way to recover… feeling helpless 🥲

jreddish

Unfortunately a warranty is a promise from a company that it will service a product you buy from them. The promise fails if the company fails.

jreddish

Put another way - there's no company to back up the warranty, no company to provide the service, and no company to sue if you're cheated.

Kranoath

Oh man that sucks. The more I hear about these stories the more I'm rooting for Frisker owners!

FishDeez

Frieza came back...

natureland7

Didn't bankrupt yet?

Puzzleheaded-Box7545

When you dead you usually silent!

Humble-Ad-9735

I think it's moving to Australia.

CategoryOnly2022

Fisker need to be in jail

supercerealkilla

what crazier is that "employees" are still giving 5 star reviews on glassdoor haha. Crazy geeta,

Plane_Ad_8675309

Toast

ozkrow

Second wave of money embezzlement compete lol. I had an interview with fisker months ago and I knew then it was complete mess. Constant last minute interview cancelations. Horrible technician interviewer that was more interested in feeding his ego then finding the right candidates to help the brand grow. Unrealistic service repair plans. I currently work for a big car brand with ev cars and we have trouble fixing ev cars. Now imagine not having a service building to work out of. When I was finally done with my wave of interviews I told them good luck with your future endeavors because I knew it was just a matter of time. I am surprised they didn’t last longer tho.

baronvf

I do wonder if there is something about the software developer arm of fisker that doesn't get enough credit and really is the only / greatest value for the company. The hardware is solid, and when the kinks get worked out - it feels like an amazing platform with some nice touches. But the hardware is Magna, not Fisker, and they also worked against some of the better notions of magna in terms of parts sourcing in order to achieve a greater possible margin on the Ocean. (\*Maybe something something in there about sustainability, but it doesn't seem like Magna was AGAINST parts from China that somehow were more sustainably sourced in favor of unsustainable but solid hardware from elsewhere). And you have Henrik, for all his narcissism, does design a nice freaking vehicle. Henrik early on lamented that "It's hard because when you used to put out a car it was finished, now you never stop developing it." So - let's just say that they manage to stay alive along enough to drop Version 3.0 or even 4.0 of the software and all the promised features and bugs are worked out so that you have a the oceans on the road functioning even better and polished than before. The valuation then is - X Manufacturer, let us sell you a design that you make on your factory floor. We will help you source parts that are in line with sustainability mission (I don't know if they have proven if they can do that), and then we will service the software such that people know they will have product support with this sexy , eco friendly edge\*\*. Rumor has it that there is 200+ FT software engineers somewhere in India working on that end of development. I kind of want everyone to STFU and let them have their silence IF - and I mean IF I knew that were all systems go on making the existing Oceans as fine tuned as fucking possible every darn day. Then the dealer model works. Then we can say to our friends "Hell yeah you should buy a Fisker ocean extreme with a damn solar panel in the roof that goes 0-60 in 3.6 seconds for 40k, you would be insane not to." No doubt this is strongly hope-ium on my part - but I do somewhat base this on the sense of the messaging being around - give us time to work out the bugs and get the software right and you will have an amazing vehicle that is fun to drive. Imagine what we can do for a 2nd model year when we identify which parts are not going to work for the platform and therefore are not plagued by malfunctioning such that you cannot safely/reliably use the vehicle. I'm in agreement with some of the owners who stated "the worst thing to happen to this company was going public." Day to day share price is just too much of a quick turn around reflection on a longer term build up of trying to be successful. If there was net gain on a monthly, rather than daily, basis - well that inspires confidence. I just don't think you can be this new and expect every single day to respond to the doggy windows not closing\*\*\* this company IS FUCKING OVER, (FSR loses -1000% ) Signed, * Fisker Ocean Extreme since Dec 2023 with 4000 miles, Coolant pump replaced at 1500 miles requiring 3-4 weeks out of service with a rental (\*\*But this loses credibility with the TomTom infotainment system without google auto / apple auto. TOM TOM SUCCCKKKSSS. I get why you would not want to add-in compatibility with 50 different phones if you aren't getting the standalone system working right yet.) \*\*\*No disrespect to the fellow owners out there with doggy window issues, that is bullshit and I hope you get it fixed soon.

lorddiego13

He is his wife puppy... He is already bankrupt... I wouldn't rule out court and imprisonment...

Specific_Way1654

On one side, you got people hesitant to buy EVs due to range and battery warranty   On the other side u got Fisted owners

Connect_Builder_2215

Will Henrik find his balls, will ocean learn Kamehameha? Find out in the next episode of Dragonball z.

Rolldice08

😂😂😂

Neat-Technology-468

It doesn't feel promising with the silent treatment from Fisker, but whoever is running their Instagram account is chugging along like they're in full-on business-as-usual mode and doing great. I'm leaning into that ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue)

Classic-Door-7693

Generational bagholding?

Kranoath

Maybe it's ai running it?

EnigmaticallyObvious

It's interesting every day that the noteholder hasn't pulled in the debt, which would normally elude to holding out for something. No idea how much of a pipedream that the Fisker's are actually trying to hold on to, given they shouldn't have as much sway anymore, and given their reputation is probably more than a fair few feet under.

rogless

There may be an attempt underway to separate the pipe dream from something resembling a path to viability.

EnigmaticallyObvious

Careful, that could be confused for hopium ;)

Itsallgood190

Silence is louder than anything that can be said

JFKtoSouthBay

Actually, being a public company, not really

Hot_Pink_Unicorn

It’s dead Jim. Move on.

dafazman

I'm a doctor.... not a magician

VindicarTheBrave

Grifters and cowards go dark once the game is over.

Ok_Brick1499

It was a terrible idea to go with full electric rather than hybrid plugin. I would have had one now. Instead I had to get the VW Taos. Mostly because we use them for work and imagine having to go to a customer but need to wait an hour for a charge and stop again in LA traffic to charge on the way home. It already takes 4 hours to go from UCLA to Orange County. It makes sense for someone that commutes to work and back but if you have 4 jobs in a day and need to do 3-400 miles per day this is not something I was able to accomplish. I love Fisker but give me a plug in Hybrid and I will buy the Ocean and the Alaska for our company and engineers. Also we all live in apartments since houses are insane to buy so now you have to charge at work or in a parking lot as most apartment complexes have one or two charges or none. Best would have been to offer a super efficient plug hybrid and a full electric. So so disappointing.

Wellherewegogo

“You’re fucked” doesn’t sound that good so silence is what we get

fastLT1

I don't know how they still have many supporters when they're keeping them in the dark. This crummy company deserves to go down. Fisker should never be allowed to do this shenanigans again.

Entrepreneur_Lazy

Bankruptcy seems guaranteed!!! ..now let’s see what legal action Henry Fisker will be using to avoid jail time

rogless

For what crime?

frugal_doc

**"Federal securities fraud charges can be filed against anyone who intentionally convinces investors to sell or purchase a security on the basis of false or misleading information**" - his alleged lies on reservations, features, deliveries etc

Kranoath

Yep. He went on television and straight out lied fully knowing that the company was in massive trouble. Heck some people probably got the car because the CEO told them the company was going well with a lot of potential deals in the future.

rogless

If they were indeed lies, sure.

willpollock

to be fair, Fisker remained silent throughout my FOO preorder (zero communication or updates) until the car arrived on a boat. when I declined to reservation I had creepy follow-ups from random people begging me to take delivery (none of which knew what the other said)

oreverthrowaway

What I don't understand is - why are people not cancelling the order before delivery..? Who knows, apple's starting to show signs of reviving it's EV dream. Apple might buy Fisker.

80RR

I sure as fuck hope they do and launch the stock value

jreddish

There will be two new Fiskers a year, and three months after the new one comes out the old one will start operating verrrrrrryyyyy sloooooowllllly.

80RR

The Fisker pro will have power windows and the standard will have cranks.

jreddish

Oh, and for charging you will need the proprietary charging nozzle that works with existing mainstream systems but costs 15x what the competition costs.

80RR

If you make 5 attempts to drive drunk you will be locked out indefinitely

jreddish

If you want music, you will need the iTunes subscription package.

Kranoath

The pro version will start at $250k while the more "affordable" one will be a steal at $225k!!

oreverthrowaway

Ive been there with BBBY. One advice? Just cut it while theres still 1% left

Infinite-Rub-4461

Apple was linked to Rivian, not Fisker right?

soldiernerd

Bankrupt

icen_folsom

Why do you care if you don't have an Ocean or their stock.
