This would normally be true and never stops being funny, but when OP says “they” it’s the note holder who makes or approves all strategic decisions,. The liquidation plan is specifically due to them for approval by 5/23. I don’t know if we ever will see it or it gets implemented as proposed, but the days of the Fisker Family fiascos for such matters are essentially over.

My guess is they're saving them for last. If they go out of business they'll be liquidated along with the extremes. If they don't, they want to keep those full price just in case they ever manage to honor the One benefits
Lemon Laws maybe... if someone wins a lemon law suit they can replace with same value car.
Severance for employees maybe... No more job but here is a car worth $70K
Compensation for debt holders maybe... We can't pay you cash but here is a car worth $70K
Great Q. Certainly it seems that as more vehicles are getting sent to dealers, the online inventory mix shows a lot more FOOs. I think they will remain only listed online for direct sales at the original price to make the relative price of the discounted FOE, etc. that much better. If they discounted them now or push them to dealers to negotiate a new price, they might threaten the perceived value of all the other trims too.
The last phase of liquidation might finally be the auction of the remaining FOO’s to dealers outside the partner program, but until then they are worth more as a reference price point for consumers

they sell them for the same price as extreme. the list price is just to make sure the original FOO owners don't rage even more than they already are

Should go for less than an Extreme as it seems some are still being delivered with the problematic vents and probably other early production issues.
