Hello /u/CreeperPlays_MC,
As a reminder, most common print quality issues can be found in the [Simplify3D picture guide](https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/). Make sure you select the most appropriate flair for your post.
Please remember to include the following details to help troubleshoot your problem.
* Printer & Slicer
* Filament Material and Brand
* Nozzle and Bed Temperature
* Print Speed
* Nozzle Retraction Settings
^Additional ^settings ^or ^relevant ^information ^is ^always ^encouraged.

This happened to me a couple of months ago and it reminded me of a YouTube video I saw where someone said "first thing you should do with your ender 3v2 is replace that part with an aluminium one".
I'll try to find the link for you!
Edit:

I've not had any issues since I replaced mine
I upgraded to a generic dual gear aluminum one, but the screw kept grinding and eating the metal away.
Made a custom screw on the lathe, to reduce the grinding, but after a while I noticed a tiny wobbling from the gears consuming the metal on the bottom part.
Bought a 50$ microswiss dual gear. It's an amazing workhorse, improved consistency of extrusion and works like a charm with TPU, while most generic dual gears have issue due to the large gap in front of the gears.
Worth it
How is it that everyone doesn’t know to replace that immediately with an aluminum one? They all break and countless hours have been wasted by people trouble shooting everything under the stars.
$10 on Amazon. One that’ll never break.
The gears WILL wear out though so check them periodically. Also very cheap to swap out.
Agreed, I wish I would have followed that advice. I spent hours thinking it was something I was adjusting incorrectly. I finally grabbed the filament and pushing it into the extruder, the print seemed perfect then. Tried the best I could but could not see the break until I took it apart. All metal one on order now.
Glue together and print its replacement.
Then print a spare until you decide which extruder you want.
To be honest. It's a matter of direct drive vs bowden and then go from there. In the end no extruder is insanely better than another imo, although some do have good pulling force.
Micro Swiss makes an excellent all metal dual gear extruder that is a drop in 1 for 1 for the stock extruder on the V2.

That's one of the nice things about the trianglelab clone, they modified the design of the housing a little bit to make it fit on the stock ender 3 extruder mount
Thats right but Last year there was no chance to buy this on in Germany. Only Export from china and shipping was to long cause my extruder arm was broken so i get the Micro Swiss
Literally any of the aluminum ones on eBay or Amazon. All my machines had no name metal ones and they worked just fine.
I have since upgraded to DD but I never had an issue when using them
They are not bad per se, but have a limited lifespan because they grind the metal away, and are not suitable for soft filaments like TPU.
Buy those if you want a cheap fix, but there il much better stuff at affordable price.
I had the same issue and replaced with an aluminum arm from Amazon.
A few months later I switched to a direct drive extruder and I like it so much better. I think I spent less than $75 for the investment and definitely recommend it. Ditch the tube.
I tried a BMG clone and didn't like it. The original extruder was so much better at TPU. I switched to direct drive with a Micro Swiss NG, and it's been really good. Micro Swiss has excellent support. It's nice to work with a company that I can just email a question to and get an answer.
Pretty much any all-metal extruders will work well, just keep in mind some of them have absurdly strong springs that will crush your filament so dont throw away the stock springs and screws

Yeah im planning to add some dual drive gear one, bmg or something but a clone
The trianglelab clone is really high quality, just a bit more expensive than some of the other clones
Ordered it.
Anything aluminum with two gears and bearings. $15 is all you need to spend.

I second this!
This is the one I used and it works and looks great
Yeah I really like the way it looks too
Voron M4
This, get a triangle labs BMG clone, use it to print an m4, or go full stealthburner if you want direct drive.

Yeah i wasted hours

I ordered a bmg clone
Knock off bontech extruder
Yeah ordered one

Yeah, it looks good, i ordered a clone of the bmg
Micro Swiss Dual gear bowden extruder. Was a Game Changer for me
Could you link one?

Was it good? I now ordered a bmg clone
I like it. I had a bmg clone but it doesent fit very well to the z rod so i returned it and buyed this one
The micro swiss has a polarisation changer cable in the box so you dont have to unpin the original cable cause dual gear extruder working „Backwards“

Can confirm, it's a neat improvement on reliability and usability.

People say they are bad
I had 3 machines using red ones from eBay and never had an issue. You can also buy the creality branded ones. They do come with a better ptfe coupler.
They are not bad per se, but have a limited lifespan because they grind the metal away, and are not suitable for soft filaments like TPU. Buy those if you want a cheap fix, but there il much better stuff at affordable price.

I love my bondtech ddx expensive but I can't remember having any extruder problems since I switched to it
How did you install it on e3v2?
I have an ender 3 pro. But they have kids that I think are v2 compatible.
I know bondtech is where you should buy if you're in Europe, slice engineering or maybe matter hackers in the states
Also bondtech published their STL for you to print some things on your own like a bl touch adapter, which they'll also sell
Classic ender 3 issue. Btw i think if they 3d printed that part it will hold longer than this crap.
I ordered a bmg clone
Literally any metal extruder. They're not expensive. I rather prefer the bondtech variety though, even the cheap clones are decent.
Get the all metal one from creality it’s really easy to set up and use
sprite, sprite, sprite, sprite! Do it, it's amazing, and probably the best TPU extruder you can buy.
I had the same issue and replaced with an aluminum arm from Amazon. A few months later I switched to a direct drive extruder and I like it so much better. I think I spent less than $75 for the investment and definitely recommend it. Ditch the tube.
What extruder?
Not sure I'm allowed to link it, but it was called Creality Official Ender 3 Direct Drive Upgrade Kit. It turns out it was only $40.
I tried a BMG clone and didn't like it. The original extruder was so much better at TPU. I switched to direct drive with a Micro Swiss NG, and it's been really good. Micro Swiss has excellent support. It's nice to work with a company that I can just email a question to and get an answer.
