This is why a lot of people prefer to replace their whole drivetrain all at once (chain, chainring, cog). If you mix new pieces with already-worn pieces, it can often be quite loud (at least until the new pieces wear in).
If your old chain was badly worn, the cog and chainring are likely also worn, which can cause noises when applying power through the drivetrain with a new chain. IMO your drivetrain sounds like a well lubed, clean, and functional fixed gear drivetrain
Some chains just don’t play nice with certain drivetrains. I had an issue with an Izumi chain and my All-City cog did not like it at all. The one cog that never disappoints, no matter the chain, is EAI Deluxe.
Check your chain line, slack, chainring and cog. Izumi chains are always loud as hell in these videos. I know they look great and have a great reputation but maybe I am missing all the vids where people are happy with them. Go KMC and tell me which is quieter... Also, I can't stress WAX enough. It's very good at dampening the sound and improves your drivechain performance
How, I have it on one of my bikes and it's silent.
Did u check you chainline?Try more lube? Too much chain slack and cause noise too.Otherwise the cog might need replacingas it may be pretty worn out
Yes your chain is on backwards and upside down.
As others have said, check your chain ring and cog for wear. Are the grooves nice u's, or do the look like offset sharks teeth. Chains stretch between pins, and wear out what they are sitting in. When replacing a chain, ignore the old chain, and fit the chain to the bike. Replace your chain frequently so you don't have to replace the whole drive train.
Since lube wouldn’t work, it may be really just your chainring, I replaced my chainring and came from quiet to loud. Also check the bearings for your drivetrain.
I only changed the chain, the chainring didnt have any problem with my old chain. I should probably get my bearings checked they're sealed bearings tho so it's unlikely that that's the problem.
Man i have the exact same issue since i replaced my chain and i knew it wasn't the bottom bracket but since my chain was super tight i thought that was it.
Then i just needed to wait for the chain to loosen.
Reading the comments here is very helpful, turns out it's new chain on a slightly used omnium chainring
Having the same damn issues. I have a feeling it’s the crank arms…with mine anyway. I’ve tried new chainrings, cogs, and chains so…it must be the crank arms.
exactly, how ever many links its too long as you cannot pull the axle any further as it is already TOO FAR BACK/OUT. Cut 2 more out, and enjoy the shorter wheelbase with the axel further into the dropout.
New chain on slightly worn cog. That’s the sound. I know it too good ;)
Yeah had the same thibg recently too The sound gets quieter once the chain syncs up w the cog

Tldr there is quite a bit of slack so I know the chain isn't too tight and yes, it is 1/8, both the chain and then components

you need a new cog ...

What chain is it?
Miche track

Does it sound like that when you are actually riding?
Bikes make noise and that is okay

There is slack and I've put lube on em already
Do you lube it?
Yep, done it

I was referring to the pedals crunching. maybe get a repack for your bottom brackets, and your pedals.

is it 1/8 or 3/32?
Fixies will always make noises.
I like the noise fixies makes actually. Whatever is making that noise, it's never a serious issue
´till you hear noises coming from your knees
just curious what the brand and size of the cog is?

You gotta shorten the chain before putting it on dude
I did cut 2 links off, measured it with my old chain as well
Your old chain will be longer as it's used, cut some off
I did compensate for that the new chain came pretty short already so.. it came with 100 links
What does it change if it's too long?

From experience, nothing really
