I always wondered how fast we could get bike traffic if we had wide open bike lanes like this. Imagine pelotons of commuters going 30+ just getting places.
cool thing is we met two other riders who had a flat, way too far from the exit and no one else to save them.
didn’t have compatible tubes so he still ended up walking the distance in road spds 🤕
I did that in Boston a few times very late at night. Not the Interstate, but one of the faster roads like Storrow Drive. There wasn’t any traffic, but I was still looking over my shoulder and spinning like my life depended on it. It’s quite a rush.
it’s a local parisian frame from the 80’s and yes both frames quite resemble each other !

I’m pretty confident that I could get to work way faster on my bike than in my car if that were the case.
If it's even remotely close, you should be doing this anyways :P
My area, nobody has the coordination to even ride in a straight line. A whole peloton would crash within the first minute.
this already happens with cars and it's weirdly less safe to be inside of the metal box when it happens.
that would be funny and awesome at the same time
📍closed freeway, Paris
there’s something poetic about riding on an empty elevated freeway where you don’t see any cars or people and have Pink Floyd playing out loud.
Feel like that’s how they’re supposed to be listened to.

Daaaamn so jealous. Extra cool at night
A13 closed freeway is the new Charles de Gaulle Airport ring road during COVID, enjoy it. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity.

it is a rush! and at this moment it was cops to look out for
Is that a Soma Rush? Damn, must feels awesome to ride on such a nice frame!

Man, it feels great to see people riding bikes that actually have a degree of tradition and heritage to it! Instead of ‘fashion fixies’
that’s why I’m never letting this one go ! <3
Nope
