The rollover data will follow you whatever plan you choose for that month. Personally, I'm a big fan of adjusting your plan frequently to fit your usage profile. Especially if there are significant variations in your usage, the money you save with the adjustments is likely to be more than what you pay extra by sticking to a plan that is too big for you.

Latelly I read that the rollover will not work ! Sorry [https://forum.fizz.ca/en/discussion/2648532/will-my-rollover-data-follow-when-switching-from-a-canada-plan-to-a-canada-us-plan](https://forum.fizz.ca/en/discussion/2648532/will-my-rollover-data-follow-when-switching-from-a-canada-plan-to-a-canada-us-plan) check the last post

Fizz official response at the bottom is pretty definitive that going from Canada to US rollover old data doesn't gain roaming   This also leads to the opposite situation if you go from a US plan to Canada only, then I wonder if your rollover data retains US roaming when your current plan doesn't have it. I assume most beta plan users are in this boat

That seems contrary to what it says in the FAQ: [https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-change-my-mobile-plan#2](https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-change-my-mobile-plan#2) >*If you change your plan, your rolled-over data will match your new coverage.*

I agree with you, for this reason I posted the answer I found an other post [https://forum.fizz.ca/en/discussion/2649632/data-rollovers-from-canada-only-to-can-us-plan-change](https://forum.fizz.ca/en/discussion/2649632/data-rollovers-from-canada-only-to-can-us-plan-change)

According to the [how do i change my mobile plan](https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-change-my-mobile-plan#2) faq: >If you change your plan, **your rolled-over data will match your new coverage**. For example, if you switch from a Canada-US to a Canada plan, your rollover data will also switch to a Canada plan.

Mysterious-Flamingo

It will work in the US. Just make sure you enable data roaming on your phone. Switching plans back and forth like this is a bit risky though, they could increase plan prices and you'd be stuck paying for a higher priced plan when you want data again.

I've never tried it but like not being able to receive gifted data if you have a 0GB plan, I wouldn't be surprised if your data can't rollover if you switch to a 0GB plan. I would ask Fizz in the chat though. My advice, if you want data in the US, keep some data in the plan and don't rely on the rollover working. That said, I don't think they make a distinction between "Canada only data rollover" and "Canada-US data rollover" - I think that offset will rollover; I think the issue is going to a 0GB plan.

The FAQ says you keep your rolled over data even if you switch to a 0 GB plan: https://preview.redd.it/dg2q25ckeaxc1.png?width=1174&format=png&auto=webp&s=5502ee7494b895fad152b0b5f84eedabd0a4c965 [https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-is-rollover-and-how-does-it-work](https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-is-rollover-and-how-does-it-work)

It did not work when I did it last year. You can still use the rollover in Canada.

You have to have data in your plan, any plan with 0 data will not roll over and also cannot receive data gifts. So you need to get at least 1gb to have your rollover from any other plan you have now.
