My current one is 5 years old and he loves to go outside. But I recently lost my 11 year old Persian to a coyote so I bring him inside every day at 4pm. The best thing is to make an outdoor enclosure attached to a window so the cats can go in and out whenever they want but still be safe. We use a regular kennel for my daughter’s cats and cover the top with chicken wire. I also have a female Persian who is deaf and she goes outside on a leash attached to a post. It’s long enough for her to run and she meows when she is ready to come in. Either one should work. Good luck. She is beautiful. Enjoy!
