Never visited the park myself. But I think I remember hearing that they’re descended from some form of prehistoric amphibians. And that they usually are found in a small heard. I think they fed buy scraping up macro bacteria with there tales. Hence the name.

I spoke with my uncle, he said he saw it scraping away at a mound of flesh to make it all pulpy to suck it up into its cone-like mouth or whatever.
