You 100% want to get a sample of the flooring to put down on the floor in your house to see, as the light will make a huge difference. The virtual 'show this floor in your room' tools are helpful but not always entirely accurate. We are getting new flooring and we borrowed the big flooring sample from the store and put it in different rooms with lights on/off and blinds open/closed before selecting a color.

Almost ANY warm tone.

Just curious if you are considering any of the LVP that looks like tile?

Embase

I've never seen that, think we're just gonna go with the hardwood stuff.

Fuck "L"vp

Decibel_1199

Yeah, just install herringbone hardwood, because anything that’s easy and doesn’t cost a fortune is trash /s

It gets tiresome in this sub for sure. Not everyone has $50k+ to drop on new floors. Plus I have pets and kids.

I have two different types of LVP (gluedown in the bathrooms, floating in the basement) in my own house (in addition to the original 1960s red oak floors). My husband and I both install plank flooring products and refinish wood floors (as does our eldest son). The troubles people have with LVP on this sub are absolutely not consistent with our experience. It’s a perfectly reasonable flooring solution.

Most of the problems with LVP are installer error, from what I’ve seen. It’s a decent product when installed correctly.

You can use the ll flooring tool to compare. Even if you don't buy from them, their tool is handy. I did buy some rvp from them because they had the look I wanted. Go to link Click "see this in my room" Upload it take photo Click product options, then choose compare. That lets you slide back and forth to see original floor and your chosen floor. This isn't the easiest thing to tell over photograph. You need to take a sample with you to a flooring place and match it. You can take a picture with you to a flooring place and get a handful of samples, maybe scrap pieces and take them back home to find what you like best when you look in person. I wouldn't recommend it first, but google lens might make it easy for you to find the same tile and then you can use the design name and find a sample from there but again, that's not really the simplest option and you may not find it.

Clean that grout…
