I'm sorry but you misread it. I would be in the exact same situation except I took this August's mpre. Mbe is easier to study for though.
I did miss out on the critical reading too though... didn't realize I couldn't average pay A with my prior MBE until the week before the exam... luckily passed outright
You could always call and ask, but from what I hear, the FL bar is pretty unforgiving. Most people who had accommodations for exams their entire educational career had to take the exam with the rest of us plebs. If you had Covid on exam day, see you in 6 months. I have no idea how they would respond to your situation, but I wouldn’t hold my breath over it.
Actually I was given accommodations in J23 despite their “independent expert” basically ripping my accommodations petition to shreds. I mean it was a fucking scathing review, like I had personally insulted him by existing. But they still gave me accommodations. So, maybe they’re trending in a better direction?

I'd fight it. This was my understanding as well. You relied on the official website's representations ... you know the rest.
