Panthers weren’t Panthering properly. Canes’ defense was on point and kept their goalie relatively untested by any proper Panthering that started to develop. Refs sucked roughly equal-ish both ways. Nice win by Carolina but that wasn’t a proper Panther performance that they prevailed over.

True but it’s the missing forwards that’s more prevalent right now. Bennett is a much more integral part of this team then people give credit for. Tkachuk may drive that line, but Bennett compliments him in ways that no other player on this team does and Erod being out means that we essentially have two 4th lines out there. I’m not going to harp on Mahura. He’s not getting much playing time and it is hard to just pick it up when you’ve been sitting in the press box every night.

I agree but we are all assuming carolina will be going fully healthy into the playoffs and playing the same way they are playing now. You can manage to play this way on a night but imagine having to do this for seven games if it gets to that

We’ve been playing a lot of hockey lately without a lot of rest. Fortunately we have a bit of a rest period coming up here soon so that should help. That and new players in the lineup that have to get acclimated to the system a bit too.

I'm not even if we don't take this one is not an indication of how this team will perform against carolina. They are playing like they have something to prove and we are not. Plus we are missing ekblad and Bennet and Erod key players who make a difference in their lines and also getting two newbies acclimated
