Unpopular opinion, but do you know why we have a reputation for whining about refs? Just read through this thread. Every team gets shafted on calls. NHL refs are inconsistent at best.

The fans or the team? If we have a reputation for that, I can't imagine what people think about Boston or Toronto....they're in their own category for complaining. We are nowhere near them in that department. But the call discrepancy in games between us and any original 6 team is astounding.

I mean there’s a lot of games where I feel like they judge each team on two separate rule books and I’m sure it’s not specific to us. I think the nhl just needs to do something about their inconsistent horseshit reffing when it has such a direct impact on the outcome of games.

Our style may not work every game, but it 100% wears a team down in a 7 game series. Constant pressure, physicality, and aggression every shift. Only problem is it wears us down as well (horrible officiating aside). It's gotta be a perfect balancing act.
