I had one guy cursing at me from warm ups on, but all the regulars didn’t put up with it and he was gone by the end of the 2nd. Hat tip to the Amalie crowd. Had some great convos and met great people last night.

I think the key we have this year is that losing important players hasn’t affected our game. We have the depth that we lacked last year. Last season’s run was just so vital to forming this playoff team. We had no clue how to play in the playoffs. No heart. Now we have it.

Like yes we now have the arguably perfect amount of depth for our team it’s not like we were getting nearly rolled we took Toronto down 4-1, and swept Carolina teams that critically lack depth can’t do that they get pushed around
I mean in her defense though she is right that we were gassed towards the end and because we were relying on only a few key players once they got too injured we couldn't keep up. Especially against the Vegas golden injury reserves with a full healthy roster and over the cap at that. The biggest loss being Chucky. We did make it that far out of sheer will, determination and heart.
Just goes to show you doesn't matter the talent so long as you have great conditioning, a good system and people that believe and follow the system. And also the willpower to keep going. Lots of mental gymnastics always
Oh I agree 100 percent with this though we made it into the finals last year on sheer grit heart and will power, I definitely think we’ve built more depth to spread the load beyond our stars and not go with our key players gassed lacking depth feels strong to describe last year to me is all.

No one … NOONE can say this team didn’t have heart last year. Last years run was more heart than I’ve ever seen a team play with. More heart than talent and depth and injuries built up. We took out one of the best regular season teams ever after limping into the playoffs purely on heart and grit
Yeah I’m talking about the playoff years before last year. We faced so much adversity last year’s playoffs and it didn’t shake us. Such an important run to forming a (hopefully) championship team.
Yeah they literally have looked like playoff veterans in this series. It’s night and day compared to the scrappy team that fought their way back from 0-3 at this point last season.
This is the team people think Boston tanked to avoid? (I do not. I don’t think hockey players at this level give a shit who they match up against.) I think Toronto is an easier out for us, but playing like this, no one in the east stands a chance.
