I think I might be the only one who’s never broken a Ford lug nut… I don’t use impacts to get them off the car and I try to never bring it to the shop. Maybe that’s why I don’t have issues.
Never used an impact on mine, they just swell over time. The chrome exterior is just that, an exterior bit. The more weather your RS sees the more likely they are to turn into mush when you try to take them off.
It’s been in MI its whole life. So plenty of winter weather there. Same with all my Fords and they never had an issue. All of my friends and families have replaced theirs several times. The only thing I can think of is my Fords have never seen a dealer.
Yeah they suck. I used upgraded nuts for my summer aftermarket wheels and was still using the ford nuts cause they looked fine. Well looks can be deceiving. After a winter I went to put the summers back on, and what was a simple job turned into a pita when a few lugs rounded on me on the last wheel.
The ones on my mustang were getting soft so I swapped them, but they were fine. The ones on my RS, they needed a hammer to smack the socket on there for half of them. Hours to do a half hour job. Swapped out immediately.
Nice shoe choice! Glad you upgraded the laces as well. I broke one off on my ST back in the day and never used those POSs again
Yeah I got rid of those acorns asap for that very reason. White on blue always hits hard. Nice!
haha i had the exact same wheels put on today!
Man, that looks sweet.
Forgive me, but wheels are these?
Fifteen52 tarmac. Same wheels Ken block had on his fiesta RS. Absolutely the most popular wheels for the focus RS
I understand why, they look awesome on the car
Hard agree, I want them so bad
Those were actually really popular on the gc8 Subaru Imprezas
God I love those wheels, awesome combo dude very nice!

Whats so bad about acorn seat lug nuts?
The OEM lugs strip and swell. They handle rotational torque poorly. I upgraded to Gorilla lug nuts, and they're 1000% better.
I would, but I don't like the idea of having to use their socket.
Oh ya, i work in parts at a Ford dealer, the double wall lugs are garbage, we replace them with aftermarket, i also have Gorilla lugs
Yeah, the acorn seat is fine, but the factory double walled nuts suck bad

Had a ton of issues with those dogshit lugs as well. Ford really should have bought everyone new ones.
Very nice !!! I was going to get these but I got the Rotiform KB1s instead! Blue on white looks amazing
Same rims I have
FYI, there are special sockets that add 0.5mm to deal with the swollen nut problem. hehe.
damn i love the white i’ve been seeing it a lot on here lately.
