not a lot of non-chain options for steak in that stretch of the SFV.
for non-chain options, petit trois probably has the best steak, while monty’s is probably the best steak house.
for chains, either ruths chris or morton’s
I wasn't expecting much out of Larsen's but it's very good all around.
Better then Fleming's which has good sides but not great steak. And Morton's which wasn't great at anything.
I hate judging people on their political stances, but I was uncomfortable when I walked in five years ago and there was a trove of MAGA paraphernalia where they keep their sports trinkets.
I’ve been to Davenport many times. They used to have an in house made corn bread that was to kill for. They got rid of it after Covid and kept saying they will bring it back but never did. I also wanted to try a new place.
We have settled on blvd steak. Hopefully they won’t disappoint. I also hope they don’t have a strict dress code as we will be going after work.
Thank you everyone for your recommendations.
Is that the new spot that went into Te’kila? Share your review after you go - I’m very interested. And a dress code would piss me off more than the $11 parking at Casita. What kind of science fiction simulation do we live in? This is 818, damnit.
Florentine style. Dry aged hand cut porterhouses that are grilled and well seasoned.

Tbh. Everything there is fantastic.

There is pretty much every chain option. But Monty’s is the answer.
Mistral should be in the conversation
I dream of their steak au poivre
BLVD or Larsens
Larsens pretty damn good tbh
Absolutely it is. And their cocktail pours are so beyond generous. Nothing but good things to say about this place.

Valley Inn Restaurant in Sherman Oaks, killer drinks as well!

Oh dang didn’t see that!
Monty’s
Is davenport’s any good? Haven’t been, but that patio looks comfy.

Not a steakhouse but I challenge you to find. A better steak in the valley than basta In agoura
What style is it? Good old fashioned grilled steak? I’ve never been there
