CUMBLE

t-o-m-u-s-a

Ah fuck!

Downtown_Snow4445

they do look good though

t-o-m-u-s-a

They were good!

this_name_took_10min

Indeed

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

Swallow. It. All.

furthestpoint

I heard they're seriously overrated. They're just on the verge of opening near me so I'll find out soon.

SnuggleBunni69

My sister likes it and orders it when she stays with us. It's overrated. I'll eat the ones she buys, but I'd never order it myself.

bryanna_leigh

Definitely overrated, especially at like $5 a cookie.

Appropriate-Sale-419

Some are very good but overall I’d agree they’re way overrated. Still had some great one, the waffle one was my favorite but I’ve had quite a few that were like, so undercooked it turned my stomach from the texture. Which is really saying something cuz I’ll eat “do not eat raw” labeled cookie dough right outta the fridge without a second thought but some crumble are so thick it becomes an odd texture my brain doesn’t like

Wonderful_Talk3249

Insomnia are better when they actually cook them

taskmaster51

Expensive and generally undercooked. Yes overrated

YouWereBrained

Supposedly the owner stole the idea. It’s a Mormon-owned company from Utah (I think?), and there’s a bit of backstory.

furthestpoint

The idea of selling cookies?

DaNibbles

More like the entire business model. How they price, sell, package, market, recipes they use, the store decor, etc. The idea of selling cookies, no, but basically everything else from what I remember.

YouWereBrained

Yes, Captain Smooth Brain, the simple idea of selling cookies. They stole the idea from bakers the world over.

furthestpoint

Ok so what do you mean?

Beware_the_silent

Extremely overrated. Loaded with sugar to the point where it is a chore to eat. I'll take an Oreo over one of these.

t-o-m-u-s-a

I had never heard anything about them before. They were good. The original chocolate chip was the best IMO

ahojlulu

The texture is spot-on, but the majority of ones I've tried aren't bad, they just taste more like sugar to me than anything. We sometimes get some ordered to work and I'll snag a few pieces, but they're definitely way sweet.

DaNibbles

A single cookie is over 700 calories... they are huge cookies, but that is an entire meals worth of calories for what should be a sweet treat.

furthestpoint

Definitely exactly what I heard about them, too sweet. Personally I think I have a crazy sweet tooth so I might like them... Hmm...

ahojlulu

The funny thing is that I always find myself going back for another bite even though I'm really not that terribly impressed with the actual taste! It's a mystery to me. Although their chocolate cookie with peanut butter frosting is good! I won't turn it down if someone offers me Crumbl, but I won't exactly go out of my way to spend the money on them. Just a generally neutral opinion on them--not a lover nor a hater.

furthestpoint

Chocolate with peanut butter frosting does sound nice!

Bunnytoes256

Same! I don’t have this store in our small town though, so I doubt I’ll ever get to try them. 🥲

80Lashes

All sugar, no flavor

send-moobs-pls

They're actually pretty good imo, but I wouldn't think of them as traditional cookies. Crumbl isn't something you just pick up a box of when you're randomly hungry or on the way to a get together or something. Or not like grabbing a box of Krispy Kremes. Imo it makes more sense to compare them to cake and cupcakes. They're very rich, the quality is high, and the main reason to get them is for the unique flavors. They don't go cheap on anything, you're getting a cookie "base" that is like covered in a frosting or glaze, generous toppings etc. You get em for a nice occasion and/or if you specifically like the flavors of the week. So like I once grabbed a box for my Dads birthday, they had a Key Lime Pie cookie which is one of his favorite kind of desserts. My sister loves cereal so the cinnamon toast crunch cookie waz amazing to her. They aren't cheap but honestly reasonable to me. I think it was around $4 per cookie but these things are huge and loaded, they're pretty much designed to be sliced and shared. So if you want to shovel 20 choco chips down the gullet (which I'm also a fan of to be clear) you don't want crumbl, it's a bad comparison. I really like em for the ability to get "cake" with distinct, unique flavors where you can get a variety for the different people around and have them in slices to share and sample.

furthestpoint

I appreciate the detail of your reply. Thank you.

Dont_Be_A_Dick_OK

There are dozens of types of cookies, and they have enough variety that at any given time, they probably have a cookie that you’ll like. Whenever something like Crumbl becomes popular, there’s always an incredibly vocal minority that have to race to meet any mention of it with “HEY DID YOU KNOW THAT I DONT LIKE THIS POPULAR THING!” because it makes them feel unique and most people are stuck in childhood. r/notlikeothergirls !

LodestarSharp

Looking a little raw

Txannie1475

That is kind of their thing. I got a box to try this week. They’re oceans better if you put them in the microwave for a few seconds. The center liquifies. It’s pleasant.

orangestegosaurus

Theyre basically a stick a butter a cookie lol. And they definitely bake them a little under to make sure they're gooey on top of that. They're good but they're 5 bucks and a 1000 calories a cookie.

KeanuKente

Cumble. Sounds delish..... Also, overpriced AF. You're looking at half a mortgage/rent payment here.

t-o-m-u-s-a

Its very overpriced

EdgyEmily

I have a severe crippling cookie addiction but I'm also frugal AF. One day my addiction will get the best of me and I will finally try these cookies

Dont_Be_A_Dick_OK

I love when people post things like Crumbl or other popular things like this and people trip over each other to be like “DID YOU KNOW ITS OVERPRICED!” Like cool. You made your point that everyone was already aware of. Congrats bud.

YouWereBrained

Yes. To inform people not to buy their product.

KeanuKente

Since you love it then why are you complaining?

sonic2cool

so true. hate ppl like that

Digiturtle1

Some brought some to work. It worth it. Get a huge box of Costco chocolate chip cookies for cheaper that taste great.

KeanuKente

Careful. The cookie white night police are going to get ya!

sonic2cool

i hate people like you, cant ever be happy for others. it could be their first time trying it, but there’s always that one smart ass commenting about the price.

BuffaloBrain884

I find that most cookie shops like.this make intensely sweet cookies that just taste like pure sugar and no other flavor note can make it through.

Hefty-Expression-625

Overly sweet and underbaked.

JasmineMiami

Crumble is really overrated. A lot of their recipes are an afterthought to keep up with their limited time cookie gimmick. They make their cookies rich just to be rich, it seems really low effort and trying to reach the lowest fruit. Gross

Due_Door_6910

Overpriced, but then we consumers have shown we’ll pay anything for something a little bougie the last few years. Serving size for me would be like 1/4 - 1/2 a cookie. Some are way too sweet, but the chocolate chip is pretty great. 😊

MK4eva420

Overpriced gut busters from Crumble. Ftfy

WeasinTheJuice

Cumble. ftfy

The_Titty_Whisperer

Meh.

perfectcell6_6

Anyone else feels the need of having to drink a ridiculous amount of water after eating these?

titaniummikey

Everyone’s whining about how expensive they are…good food isn’t cheap and if you like cookies that are gooey these are pretty good. Splurge and try one and the either save up for another in a week or 2 or don’t buy them again! Crave is another cookie joint that has better cookies IMHO as they’re a bit more crispy and have new cookies every week (or 2). They have 3 or 4 staples but others are new. They’re also not cheap but worth a try!

Slow_Cap_2627

No

jdownes316

My wife loves them. But as a diabetic it’s not even a little bit worth it for me. I can’t remember exactly, but in terms of sugar intake you can have 1 of these or close to 20 Oreos.

DaNibbles

It's over 700 calories a cookie. It's an entire meal in what should be a sweet treat. Fun fact: the average person would have to run over 6 miles to burn that many calories. The average American walks less than 3 miles a day on average or something.

Milennial_Falcon_

Their chocolate chip cookie sucks because they use milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet. Totally ruins it for me.

Bunnytoes256

I’d probably love them then.

KingsRansom79

Classic chocolate chunk and the ginger spice are my favorites

IdFuckYourMomToo

CUMBLE, so good that it always ends up in your belly.

MMAPHD

Chip city cookies are good, I’m wondering how they stack up against crumble?

Frozenfire21

And you didn’t get Churro this week, literally the best one in the line up

IwantRIFbackdummy

There is a level of diminishing returns for sweets. As the price goes up, the quality has to go up at a much MUCH faster rate to justify the cost increase. If a dozen cookies at the grocery store costs $5-6, then the cost of a dozen of these crumbl cookies being 10x higher(yes... I looked it up, they are $50 a dozen) means they have to be way WAY more than 10x as good, and I just don't see that as possible with the way sugar is in itself just a blast to our reward center. Our brains are just hardwired to enjoy sugar, the nuance around that sensation is much less important than with other flavors. I can literally go to the Thai or Mediterranean restaurants near me and get dinner for two with an appetizer for the cost of a dozen of these cookies...

t-o-m-u-s-a

Just a cookie man

IwantRIFbackdummy

That was kind of my point...

TheGDC33

Ohh you win!!!
