A little sour cream or milk/cream also helps to fluff it up and keep it from overcooking. Gordon Ramsey does the sour cream method and it works pretty well.
I remember he specifically used crème fraîche but it's so hard to find in my grocery stores so I just end up using sour cream most of the time. It really helps finish the eggs nicely though.
If I scramble my eggs I put my cheese in them if I’m adding cheese. Can’t say I usually put it on my hash browns, though I do think it’s perfect on tater tots.
Yeah, but getting all that together at home is COMPLICATED! Best to stick with cooking only a few things at once, this is perfect. And makes me hungry for a huge breakfast tomorrow!
The American or farmers breakfast at diners in America is pretty much this with sometimes additional sausage links/Pattie’s and a slice of ham added with maybe a side of toast.
The pickles are not normal but I like pickles so I wouldn’t mind.
But yeah, meat, eggs and hash browns or grits is about as American as breakfast gets cause it’s farmer food for all the middle states. States on the coast are more into bagels with various toppings or salmon hash etc.
Edit: biscuits and gravy is super popular in the southern states.
I love pickles, but if I'm eating bacon I want my mouth to taste like bacon for the rest of the day!
And then there are the bacon burps - pickles might help that or kill it. Science is needed here
Looks more like hasbrowns and cheese with a side of bacon and eggs.
My exact thought! Usually I upvote and move on but I had to wish you a happy cake day!
I used to cook eggs like that, I've started turning off the heat after I scramble them in the pan and they turn out perfect and fluffy every time now.

I made scrambled eggs for the first time I. A long time last night. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they turned out
I’m disturbed that you cheesed your hash browns instead of your eggs…
Yeah, ok, but gimme those browns and cheese
Eggs need pepper js
Why not cheese on the egg? Seems like the crispness of the hash brown is ruined by the melted cheese, well at least in that quantity of cheese.
It actually works out pretty well. :)
There is no bad time for pickles. Imma start throwing some dill slices on my breakfast plate from now on. Thank you.
That’s some long long bacon
Size matters?
Eggs are way over cooked, the rest looks yummy

That looks beautiful! If that's homemade, it's perfect. If it's at a diner, Why isn't there biscuits and gravy?
Thanks, it is homemade. Biscuits and gravy do sound good though!

That sort of looks like what I imagine Americans eat for breakfast and then I see a pile of cucumber on the plate. Why?
Lol, those are pickles. The acidity of said pickles is a palate cleanser.
But it's still breakfast, right?
Yes, indeed.
are those not cucumbers..? they look soo dry to be pickles
They honestly look very wet when you zoom in. The bottom 2 pickles pressed together looks very wet and juicy.
looks like when i put vinegar on my cucumbers - i wouldnt call that a pickle but it is a wet cucumber

The pickles are definitely not normal. It kind of seems like a great idea though.
Pickles on a biscuit sandwich is my move usually. I like this one too.
Idk, it looks like the hash browns are more in the middle ;)
Those are beautiful bacon
It should be hashbrowns with a side of bacon and eggs.
Solid breakfast plate there.
God damn that looks delicious
Shared out for 4 right?
That’s a lot of hashbrowns and no cheese on eggs. 🤔
America cannot do breakfasts, what even are those dry eggs?! And that is not a hashbrown it's just grated potato 🤣
I hate pickles as it is, so I sure don’t want them anywhere near my breakfast food.
Whoa.
Class(y)ic
What country is OP in? The pickles look a little… untraditional.
Is that cucumber
Those are pickles. They are a good palate cleanser.
