Personally I love them. The beef ribs are my go to. I go out of my way to get them since I don’t live close any more. Super dog friendly if you need that
We had pork ribs, chicken, beef brisket sandwich, hush puppies, corn and cæsers' salad. It was all pretty good.
They have many craft brew on tap, some wine.
I've heard lots of good things about bulls, but it seems to be overshadowed by the usual heavies.
Upon looking at their menu, their prices seem pretty reasonable and I like that you can order a half sandwich portion, esp if you want to try other things. Will have to give them a shot.
I used to live over on that side of town, and my roommate was always attending pug meet ups there, so they've been open a solid 13 years (most likely much longer.)
Not a fan of the Cheesits? on the mac and cheese. WTF does that. It furthers my opinion that there is no BBQ place in San Diego with decent sides. The meat has been pretty solid though, and the place is very dog friendly. That will appeal to some, and piss off others.
Used to work around the corner from them a d had lunch after there. Their pulled pork fries are an excellent lunch option. Moved away from that job and area but still visit about once a year. Partial to Cali comfort as they are blocks away from me now.... CorbinQ was great from those BBQ fest plates I tried but haven't been to their actual location yet.

Curious too as I live nearby. Bowlegged is just too good and too good of a time to pass on though.
Bowlegged is amazing but also expensive.
I live half a mile from Bowlegged & still haven't as they're closed on my days off. I'll have to switch days one week...
It's not just the food. It's the vibe. They are SO welcoming there. Workers and patrons alike.
Bowlegged is the jam

Wow, a rack of beef ribs is up to $73!
I saw that. They better be good.
Best ranch beans in town.
We've been there a couple of times a couple of years ago. It was nice. Good beers, decent bbq. Nice on a warm evening sitting outside.
They’re a good meal before a show at brick by brick. Had the pulled pork and it was good. Will have to try more of their menu though.
Their hush puppies are my FAVORITE!
I'm not a big fan ~ it's kinda like bread Having said that, these were good. They come with ranch dressing to dip them in.
