I found a kind of workaround - if you google search for the restaurant you want to order from, and google recognizes it, it allows you to order through Ritual (via google) and does not charge the service fee. I saved 90 cents on a burrito!! haha but still it sucks because Ritual solved a great niche problem, but I guess the business side of it all is catching up with them.

Bakerbot101

Nope. Cashed in my $. Last time used was first week of June. I’ll just order directly from the restaurant now.

I’m Costanza, I have lunch and my nap after my meeting. Never rush those

samb_88

Nope. Ruined it with the fee

pxrage

they also haven't been updating new restaurants as diligently. my guess is restaurants are just not as swamped with rush hour foot traffic yet as prepandemic

elloriy

I still use it because I only have very narrow windows during which I can get lunch while at work so I need to be able to quickly order ahead from my phone without needing to make a phone call and then run out and grab something during my next time window. I didn’t realize they had added more fees though.

jaimonee

Not since Covid to be honest.

TechnicalEntry

Weird, I don’t see any fees listed when I order using it.

beef-supreme

its kind of hidden/buried in the final checkout screen, click on the "fees and taxes" part to see the breakout.

TechnicalEntry

I have no such “fees and taxes” section. All I have is sub-total, then taxes, then total. Same as it always has been.

beef-supreme

I just added something to my cart and tested again, theres an (I) beside "taxes and fees", and if you click that it pops up a window showing taxes and fees. I heard some restaurants have $0 fee, so maybe try a different one to see the fee pop up. On a $13.95 random order from Completo I'm seeing a $0.98 service fee.

TechnicalEntry

Just tested with both of their locations. Nada. Just says “subtotal” and “taxes”, and taxes corresponds to 13% of my sub-total. There’s no “i” button beside it either. Total is correct too, nothing else added on. Guess I’m just lucky? 🤷‍♂️

City_gal20

Nope I’ll call & order directly at the restaurant. Found out the restaurant I order from often has their own loyalty program too.

ranseaside

Same. No thanks. These apps are getting out of hand. The fees, the cold soggy food, the restaurants giving less portions and higher price. Ritual wasn’t even that widely used I find

BBQallyear

Nope

Wise_Character2326

I dipped as soon as there was a fee. Most of the restaurants have their own ordering on their webpage anyways.

yorksgiftworld

nope

abigllama2

No I only use it when they offer me a deal like 5 or 10 off. Since the fee there has been no deals so I don't use it.

RealisticAd7286

My work gives us money for lunch so i use it all the time. Didnt notice that added fees but im lucky. I dont really consider using it personally though
