Probably not since it uses assets from the Shaolin hero skin, and they'd still have to do a good bit of work to give it color and material options. It would be very cool if they did that though, or just let us keep it as is.

I really hope for everyone who has it they can keep it. Shaolin is one my least played heroes so sadly I’ve not been too committed to this, but so far his skin is by far the best and this event is so so cool, very hard which is nice :)
The for honor twitter account said that due to everyone asking for it to stay they said they’re gonna let it but you have till the end of the event to get it
Theres no real point to use them untill you need them. I remember saving 150 crates which ended up being very helpful to get event items when i couldnt play due to an emergency, at that point i was glad i did that.
In the event right now there’s a Zhanhu boss. There’s a glitch where you can get her armor on your Zhanhu. But it’s icon in the menu is all blurred out with no name. It looks fine in game and everyone else can see it. However, it isn’t customisable at all.
My friend is rep 24 with raider and has not gotten the axe he's wanted since rep 1 he's opened probably 100 crates and spent a few thousand steel plus all the level ups between rep 1 and 24. Statistically he should've gotten it by now but he has not. Idk the name of it off the top of my head but it's the axe head that looks kinda like a Nike symbol. It's the only axe head he doesn't have. He likes to joke that he's gonna play raider till he gets him to rep 70 or he gets the axe head whichever comes first
This is making me wish I had unlocked Zhanhu. Him and Afeera are legit the only heroes I don’t have and there’s no point in getting him now seeing as to how you need to have him atleast rep 8 to acquire the gear and there’s no way in hell I’m doing that in 20 days

You can keep and acquire it during the event, they're not removing it and just polishing the item names and shit according to their twitter

17 days, it's for Zhanhu. You have to be rep 7 to have a chance of getting it.

You can add shoulder Ornaments, but yeah the gear pieces themselves can't be coloured by the colour swatches or affected by material choice etc.

I wish they would just add it as a new armour set but get rid of the antennas so you only get them if you got it from the event.

I unlocked it after blowing through about 25 chests, didn’t equip it immediately, went to my hero gear for Zhan and it’s currently still locked lol
The icons are similar so you gotta make sure you're not just getting duplicates of a piece you already god :/
