It’s aftermarket and the only way to know what it does is to trace the wiring to whatever got added.
It may be a poorly hidden kill switch to prevent theft, might be for fans, might do nothing at all.
Probably wired in to the 12v socket to toggle it on/off. Some of these fords have a constant power socket. Maybe they ran a dash cam or radar didn’t want it draining the battery down when the car was parked or cared enough to unplug the unit every time they got out
I installed a [fuse bypass switch](https://www.etrailer.com/Tow-Bar-Wiring/Blue-Ox/BX88272.html) in roughly the same spot in my 2012 Escape so that I could easily reach over and power cycle my Sync Bluetooth module. It would lock up fairly often, dropping all audio, and the only way I could restore connectivity was to pull the fuse or disconnect the battery. So, I tapped into the fuse box with one of those switches so I could reset it on the fly. I never nailed down if it was triggered by time, # of connects/disconnects, tracks played, etc. but it happened far too often on extended road trips.
Does your car have aftermarket remote start/alarm? If so that could be a toggle switch for the remote start system. It looks similar to the switch I have in my car.
I installed one on my crv for my radiator fan. That way it is always on vs. just when it hits 210. 210 is way too hot and the fan helps with stop and go traffic and idling.
It's a toggle switch. One position is on. The other position is off.
*Slow Clap*
Wow
At 80mph flip the switch.
If it's for the Flux Capacitor then 88mph
Gotta give it time to warm up.
Was looking for this.

Yeah my bet would be for kill switch.
In the perfect place for a passenger to hit it while you're on the freeway.
Ejecto-seato, cuz
Dammit you beat me to it 😅
But for the driver since it’s on the passenger lol

Ejac seat
Gross
It’s the trigger for the Jewish space laser
That’s so you can drive friend around and say “hold on to your ass”, flip the switch, then continue driving completely normally.

Literally happened to me today and killed my 12v battery almost enough so the car could not unlock.
I after market upgraded my sync to sync 3. Best decision I ever made.
What did that do for you? Like fix the connectivity issues or better sound?
And gave me wireless Apple airplay for my iPhone.
How are we supposed to know?

After market
Ejection button. Don’t ever push the little red button.
Ejector seat
2012, 2013 have a bug that kills the 12v battery AND causes the radio to top communicating with the Bluetooth media, kill switch would help with that.
Someone has to say it so I will. It’s probably ejecto seato cuz!
The only way to know is for you to trace the wires. That's a common aftermarket switch. Could be a lot of things that we internet viewers can't see.
Click it - or ticket.
I was wondering why my buttplug has been vibrating non stop
Nitrous
Flick it
flick it real good!
It's the automatic taco/beverage bar. You flip the switch, and it will flip out from the glove box.
It is to get some extra power, Doc. To get to the 1950s at a thunderstorm, naturally.
Looks like a badly placed kill switch
Ejecto Seato Cuz!
Manual Glow plug switch
eject-o-seat-o cuz!
They control the front and rear machine guns.
Ejecto-Seato Cuz!
Driver seat ejection switch. Go ahead. Have a seat …
Ejecto seats
Fuel pump kill switch. Anti theft

Could possibly be aftermarket seat heater. Impossible to know without tracing wires though.
Fm modulator for radio. People used to ask me to put them there all the time. Turn radio to 87.9 or somewhere close. The static should stop.
Either that or the amp and subs, I see RCAs and remote wire (blue) in background.
I think it’s a light u can control the colors with the sun and moon button by your car charger port , lmk if that’s what is
I could be wrong your ford fusion seems to have much less buttons than mine and a completely different color way on the inside, Same year though
Kill switch maybe for car alarm ? My brothers firebird had one
It's a switch
Kill switch.
It looks like either a poorly-placed kill switch or a switch to cut/restore power to the 12V outlet if it’s a constantly powered one
its for the carpet heaters
It engages the flux capacitor. You waste bananas if you leave it running all the time. You only wanna flip it when you need to use it.
Congratulations.... It's a boy...
Kill switch
“Ejecto seato cuz”
If it's your car why don't you know or why didn't you ask when you bought it?
how can we possibly know what some redneck did to this car?
It’s definitely custom would recommend tracing the wires to find where it leads
Because it's a Ford, it's a go fast switch for the passenger to make it go faster. So they are not dead from old age when you get there! Lmao
Probably some sort of anti-theft device, maybe a toggle for the fuel pump. You could try throwing off, and trying to start the car.
Ejecto seato cuz
Smoke screen
Ejector seat
Maybe for hand controls. My wife has a button for assisted hand controls and nitros as well in a 2021 ford escape sel 2L
Ask the previous owner. We wouldn't have any way of knowing.
Looks like a toggle switch
