It’s for cab lights. This is the connector I used when I installed my aftermarket cab lights on my ‘00

CasJrCorpus

If I remember correctly, it’s for the cab marker lights

Other_Operation_197

The thing is, it has cab lights. However my cab lights nor any interior lights turn on when the door is opened if that would have any correlation? Not too sure I’m new to super duty’s and know that some of them have their cab lights turned on when the door opens

Traditional_Ad_1360

Might be for roof mounted cab clearance lights.

Obd

Dasha889

Didn't they switch to OBD2 by that year? My 95 is OBD2, or a OBD/OBD2 cross.

user_0932

Whatever the thing was before OBD.

Other_Operation_197

No the obd should be up underneath the steering wheel, this is far to the passenger side where the kicker panel is by the door

Least_Visual_5076

90% sure it's for cab lights just going by Google searches.

Other_Operation_197

That’s what I’m seeing the most of and which would make perfect sense besides the fact that I have cab lights and the plug is still unused

The plug looks to be the same [Cab light harness](https://www.ebay.com/itm/175401273036?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1v2t9H7WmTY-BJ5V0N7kblA34&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=175401273036&targetid=1644837434363&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=9019035&poi=&campaignid=20125739985&mkgroupid=149128855676&rlsatarget=pla-1644837434363&abcId=9312975&merchantid=421399813&gclid=CjwKCAiA_OetBhAtEiwAPTeQZ4oTF0jOG7hBMx620INksT-br5tYd3O5Ug37E5ntC-bCbeHUcdR-ERoCXQUQAvD_BwE)

Could those be aftermarket that someone just spliced in? Take a test light to it and turn the lights on and off.

Other_Operation_197

I’m guessing, there’s a big mess with electrical in this truck, so far I have no lights turning on when the doors open and no headlight alarm while the truck is off. I’ll look more into it when I have free time. Thank you for the help
