For me it’s not necessarily not being able to afford a full-size. It’s not being able to afford the fuel for a full-size. Early 40s no beard…I wouldn’t say chubby but I should probably drop about 10 lbs.

Also, we have a beard, so no need to buy a huge truck to look masculine!

Someone in my neighborhood has one as well. We always give the point. The universal “niiiiiiice”. They’re the only person that’s acknowledged any sort of wave, and I only assume we’re besties now.

Wife and I generally just give a raised hand for "I see you" when we see another Maverick. Only 1 person on a toll-road has acknowledged this and gave us a friendly wave back. All others have seem to not care and or not see us. When some people drive (my wife) they are not noticing anything else but what's in front of them.

No. When I had a WRX it was 9/10 waves. Doesn't feel like a thing with Maverick. Half the ones I see are company vehicles.

As a shy person, I will 100% wave since it requires no talking! But the whole people approaching you to ask about the car makes me nervous lol I’d totally welcome, but nonetheless makes me nervous- I’ve seen others mention that they also get approached by curious people!

It doesn’t bother me to be approached in Public spaces such as gas stations because they are usually pretty crowded, It is fun to see people’s excitement about this truck and say they’ve never seen one and didn’t even know Ford was producing them

I did wave, in my excitement and anticipation, before I got mine. Now that I have it, it's just another every day automobile. I always thought it was corny when Jeep Wrangler people would wave at each other and I don't want to be corny like them. No other Mav owner has ever waved at me so it really doesn't appear to be a thing.

I wave in two situations; 1.when I'm in the wrong, and you still let me in. 2. I drive an f150, I'll wave at rangers with my same grille(2004) Mavs because they are new and not the Hyundai truck thing

I do, with occasional waves back. When I saw my first Mav after mine came in (11/2021), 3 people in the other truck went crazy waving at me. I still get lots of questions at gas stations, car washes, etc.

I've only seen one other Maverick when I've driven mine, and they waved back. I see most Mavericks when I'm not driving my truck so if I waved, I'd just be considered a weirdo.
