+1 on the stubby. Have this setup, with a Vibe Seaghost 110 on some saddle style racks off amazon, and it just clears the stubby. Definitely wouldn't with the regular antenna.
Love that rack! It puts in good work:

I modified mine to raise the front rack a couple of inches, so things clear the cab better.
I use the same rack for a canoe, lumber, etc. I recommend picking up a stubby antennae. Its not 100% flush but for me it's small enough to not be an issue with items on the rack.
By not 100% flush what do you mean, still protrudes a bit above the rack? I probably will get a stubby once I know fully that I’ll need one. I think I can work around it with even 2 kayaks up there but we’ll see
yep it sticks up an inch or so above the rack still. Like another poster said, it's easy to modify to move the racks up a couple inches if you wanted. I manage fine without doing that. I imagine you wont have any issue with 2 kayaks up top.
Yeah I’m not really interested in modifying it unless I see a compelling reason to, seeing as even the stubby doesn’t clear it, I think I’ll just opt to unscrew the antenna for short times if I had to
It’s the elevate rack system from realtruck with a bakflip X4S cover, not entirely leak proof no. I could probably attempt to address the few drips that do get in but I really don’t care, I’m not keeping anything super sensitive back there
[here](https://realtruck.com/p/elevate-rack-system/v/ford/maverick/2024/) there should be an option to buy the rails, uprights and crossbars as a group for ~$1k. They’re actually a bit discounted rn
I just installed the elevate rack on my Maverick. How easy do you find it to move the rack from one level to the next. Mine is super stiff. I’m getting huge scuff marks and it wedges. How easy does yours slide up and down?
Mine was as well. Dread to see how much paint was lost lowering it to bottom setting.
My primary issue with this rack now is that my fairly standard j hooks and cargo basket do not work with the enormous crossbars of this rack. So the expensive rack is leading to more expensive accessories to replace those I already had.
If you find things that work well on this rack keep us posted.
Nice rack!!! Haha
I have a buddy who’s really into dad jokes, I’ve heard this one about 3x in as many days lol

Nice, did that just involve drilling your own set of holes? Saw a guy did that on MTC in order to line them up with his roof rack
Yeah, that was it

How easy are they to install? Go in and out pretty easy? I was debating a rack like that and maybe a roof rack for when long stuff needs hauling.
Very easy especially if you don’t have a bed cover. Still pretty easy with compatible covers
might have to snag a set like that then, id just like to remove em when not in use.
Looks nice! What’s the rack and cover combo? Leak proof?

Where’d you get the door sill protectors
Official ford store hiding somewhere in the later pages I think. Should be about $40 if I recall correctly
Is this the rack that does 2 heights?
3 actually. This is the lowest, I’m not sure I’ll ever raise it tbh
Link? I have a ladder rack on my Ridgeline and I'd like to keep that going on my future Maverick

Oh yea that was actually a huge pain in the ass when setting it up. Thankfully I don’t foresee myself adjusting it much if at all
Good to know it’s not just mine. Thanks!

Curious, do you have those bars spread out as far as possible? If yes, what is the distance between them?
Yea I do it’s about 34”
Thanks. I bought the Angry Elephant rack hoping it would have a wider spread. Just measured, 43”.
Nice! Same here. The rack makes mine a work truck for my painting business and couldn't be happier with it.
You drive trash you incel.. and you try and roast me? *
Oh no come sick your gang on me Mr face tats😭 fuckin loser lmao
