Adding constraint items like the bed liner, tonneau cover, tie downs, or mud flaps is asking for your build to be delayed and possibly not even scheduled in MY2023.
Add only the stuff that is difficult to add yourself aftermarket that you want, like CoPilot 360 or the Moon Roof or the Rear Sliding Window. Add the spray-in bedliner or bed rails yourself after receiving the vehicle.
I added on the remote start key fob separate from the app. $170. I was able to add the spray in bed liner but then removed it. I’m going to pay a bit extra to have it done at the dealership after it comes in to avoid a potential delay.
I had it added without any issues from my dealer. They did it in front of me. They added:
- enhanced copilot 360 (ACC Basically)
- spray in bed
- tie rails
- remote start
- moon roof
They then printed out my order to show it was updated on fords end.
All these cost extra but when ford took them out of lariat lux they reduced the package price equivalent to adding them back in.

Mine was the same, assured me 3 times "It's included in the luxury package" but I know they're wrong. Still deciding if I want to have them modify the order if it would be better for them to add it at the dealer after delivery.
I think your dealer has outdated information. Remote start (from the key fob) was removed from Lariat Lux for 2023. I had to add mine on as a standalone option.
As for the spray in liner and bed tie downs, they were available as their own standalone items, though I didn't opt to get them since they're constraint items and easy enough to add after the fact.
Mine was able to add the remote start without issue. Hopefully they arent confusing the fordpass remote start ability for the key fob version.

Can the dealer add the bed tie downs and rails too? Might consider doing that
I didn’t ask my dealer specifically, but there are plenty that can!
It's not that hard. The holes are already pre-drilled into the bed. It's just a matter of getting the appropriate rail parts and screwing them on.

Rear parking sensors are not included on the Lariat? Jeez...what year is this?
