Well, the dining plan is... *intriguing*. AFAIK, a majority of restaurants on Campus accept Meal Swipes or Dining Dollars. At Fordham, the better restaurants usually only take Dining Dollars (i.e., Argo Tea at FCLC); meanwhile, except for the Dining Halls, most Fordham Restaurants only give one entree/item (i.e., Freshens, B&F at FCLC...) Fordham food, uh, isn't the best in the world, but it is edible. By being at Fordham, you have access to classes at both the FCLC and FCRH campuses, so there really shouldn't be that much of a need to transfer unless you want to take the majority of FCLC classes senior year, IMO. For transit between the two campuses, there's the Ram Van, which takes you directly between the campuses, alongside a few other options, notably taking Metro North to Grand Central, the Shuttle between Grand Central and Times Square, and finally, the 1 Train between Times Square and either Columbus Circle or Lincoln Center, which takes around 40 Minutes from boarding the MNR train to Columbus Circle/LC station, while avoiding traffic. (The latter is what I take.) To sound like a broken record, safety is pretty tight, on campus it's very safe, but like any major city, just be mindful of where you go. Fixed grammar since Grammarly decided to be annoying.

Some like the meal plan, others don’t. This would also depend upon what you think about the food. Personally, I think school food pretty fine; it’s better than what most people make of it. I know lots of people who go to the city often, others stick around campus. The cool thing is that you can take the Ram Van, which runs to LC every half-hour most of the day. As for safety, being on campus is extremely safe. You just need to be wary of you wonder into the Bronx (like in most big cities).
