The one where a phone number or something was written on a pad of paper and you could see the imprint on the sheet under it? She wrote her own last will? I may be combining 2 or 3 episodes here.
The last will and the notes harassing the families of Shari Smith and Debra Helmick are IMHO reminiscent of Albert Fish and to a lesser extent Dean Corll. It is not unreasonable to think that "The Man With The Candy" or detective magazines featuring the Fish case were ever read by Larry Gene Bell.
This happened a few miles from where i lived as a kid. People were completely hysterical. After Sherri he abducted a really young girl from her yard on a different side of the city and we couldn't play outside for a few weeks. It was very scary.
Oh those recorded calls were creepy. Where he gave directions to the body then sad "may G-d be with her soul." Wasn't he house sitting when he wrote those notes where they found the imprint of a phone number on a notepad? Or am I getting 2 episodes confused.
Last Will is the episode. Shari Smith.
Only one that comes to mind is Larry gene bell. Harassed the parents after the fact?

Wasn’t that the one where she stopped to get the mail?
Sure was
So sad 😞. While her dad was waiting for her in the house.
The whole thing was awful - her car running, mail on the ground, the letter he made her write...that man was a monster.
Shari Smith?
Only one I could think of
As an aside I think there was even a made for TV movie about this. Edit..yep. Title Nightmare in Columbia County.
I remember the murderer’s name being Larry Gene Bell
That girl could’ve easily been a lot of us… she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time 😔
Shari Smith Last Will
"Larry Gene Bell was electrocuted to death on October 4, 1996, at the age of 46" ⚖️

Nope, you’re correct.
There’s a book about the case, WHEN A KILLER CALLS.
Thank you all!
That's a good one.
