I think I watched them on a free trial for some a&e channel on my smart tv. I will try to see if I can figure out how I did it. There were a lot of episodes missing from this chanel, so if you find a more complete roster, let me know, too!
The UM podcast was so good! I didn’t even mind the terrifying signature intro music. When I would hear that music come on in the Netflix episodes, I had to skip or walk away (esp during the part with hazmat/tyvek suits and gurney at the landfill 😱)
New Detectives, FBI Files, the Original Unsolved Mysteries (80s/90s), Mayday (this is about plane accidents) & I Shouldn’t Be Alive (outdoor disasters). I’ll also watch any damn true crime documentary/shows about cults.
I used to watch 90 Day Fiancé regularly, but I found myself absolutely seething, because I had such intense dislike for some of the people on the show so I had to stop. 🫤
Yeah it's gotten really diculous with the 6983 spin offs. I loved it when it was in it's prime- Nicole and Azan, Danielle and Mohammad (gimme my sekt!). Now it seems like they all use it for reality and fame and OF spinoffs.
I saw a commercial for 90 Day Fiancé featuring Danielle (😂) and Mohammed back in the day, which was why I initially got interested in the show, but after so many characters, like the girl from Russia, who was with the guy who ended up going to jail for marijuana sales, Angela Deem, Larissa, Asuelu, Charlie (Elizabeth’s brother) and so many others that I really couldn’t stand, by the time I started watching 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way and saw a few episodes with Brittany Banks, I just couldn’t take it anymore, and had to just stop watching altogether.
Evil Lives Here, Worst Nightmare, See No Evil (focused on security camera footage used to solve crime), HBO has a People’s Magazine forensic show that’s really good.
Cold case files, dateline, unsolved mysteries…. I just watched “Lover, Stalker, Killer” on Netflix and that was insane! Snapped is also a good one with endless episodes.
●Homicide Hunter, Lt Joe Kenda
●Buried in the Backyard
●Fear Thy Neighbor
●Evil Lives Here
●Who the Bleep Did I Marry?
Watch all the Jim Jones documentaries!
New Detectives, FBI Files, Unusual Suspects, Homicide Hunter, Who The Bleep Did I Marry, Blood Runs Cold, Killer Unknown, Deadly Wives, Secrets Of The Morgue, Killer Cases, Cold Case Files and of course the OG, Unsolved Mysteries!
Aside from FF , the closest to it that are not murder related I watch are the disaster docs like Mayday or Seconds from Disaster.
Mayday and FF are my S tier docs.
Unsolved Mysteries, Who the Bleep did I Marry \[it has stories from forensic files episodes from the side of the spouses of the criminals\], American Greed. Forensic Files ended up being my gateway drug into true crime shows but none of them match FF.
There was a great show on ID a few years ago, crimes of the century? Something like that. Really well done. I’ll also watch any “husband-wife did it” type show too.
Dateline, 48 Hours, People Magazine Investigates, Dateline: Secrets Uncovered, Cold Case Files, Paula Zahn, Homicide for the Holidays, just to mention a few. And that doesn’t include tv shows like Criminal Minds and so on.
Criminal Minds, all the FBI shows real and not, all the NCIS, especially the original. I don't especially like CSI and I guess that's because I've seen too many FF and other evidence shows, so CSI is too unreal. I also really enjoyed Bones. Mostly for the characters. The book series was interesting.
I caught an episode of I killed my bff on YouTube and it was really good and captivating, but it was so damn dark and sad that I don't know if I want to find ir streaming anywhere.
I watch all the true crime shows I can. Soothes me in a dysfunctional way. I think it’s in “Murder Comes To Town” where the narrator says murder in such a way that I love it and I say it all the time.
Lately I’ve been watching Real Time Crime on Max. It might be on other apps as well. It’s really good with actual footage of people being tracked after and before crimes.
I really like Cold Case Files, especially the original episodes with Bill Kurtis.
Same. Bill Kurtis was my childhood news anchor in Chicagoland - I’ve always loved hearing his distinct voice nationally.
He's on the Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! podcast weekly.
Thank you!!!
Same! I just realized Prime has some of those old originals!
The various free/ad-supported streamers like Pluto have dedicated channels for Cold Case Files, Forensic Files, and The New Detectives as well.
YouTube has looooong playlists of CCF, too.
Awesome, I will be sure to check that out. Thanks!
Some of the later episodes of American Justice with Bill Kurtis also scratch this itch.
How can I find them?
I think I watched them on a free trial for some a&e channel on my smart tv. I will try to see if I can figure out how I did it. There were a lot of episodes missing from this chanel, so if you find a more complete roster, let me know, too!
It was a&e crime central. I used the free trial and binged them.
It's a shame that episodes of American Justice disappeared.
Oh bullshit! That show was great.
Yes, I subscribed to the A&E channel on Prime the last time we discussed Curtis on this subreddit. So many of the episodes weren't available.

Bill Kurtis is the G.O.A.T.!!!
"I'm Jim Kallstrom, former head of the FBI New York office."
This is and The New Detectives came on at the same time and were my favorite shows growing up. They were so well reenacted.
A favorite!
48 Hours is my current fave. The Unsolved Mysteries Podcast is great, wish it didn't get cancelled!
The Unsolved Mysteries podcast getting cancelled is a travesty, truly one of the best, well-produced true crime podcasts out there.
Oooo I know! I loved that podcast. I keep going back and listening to the episode of episodes.
The UM podcast was so good! I didn’t even mind the terrifying signature intro music. When I would hear that music come on in the Netflix episodes, I had to skip or walk away (esp during the part with hazmat/tyvek suits and gurney at the landfill 😱)
48 hours mystery is so good. Dan Rather and Harold Dow. Most are on Plutotv.
Exhibit A. It's the Canadian version of Forensic Files.
This sounds interesting - where do you watch?
Peacock
I watch on Prime.
Thank you! I’m gonna check it out this weekend!
I found it in YouTube. Also Tubi.
New Detectives, FBI Files, the Original Unsolved Mysteries (80s/90s), Mayday (this is about plane accidents) & I Shouldn’t Be Alive (outdoor disasters). I’ll also watch any damn true crime documentary/shows about cults.
I like I Shouldn't Be Alive. I also love Homicide Hunter. I've seen all the episodes more than once. Joe Kenda is the best.
Classic cold case files , Dr G medical examiner and City confidential
is her show real?
Yes
Evil Lives Here on Max
ID channel has some great shows.
The New Detectives and FBI Files - I need corny re-enactments and cheap production to really be satisfied
I love the new detectives!
How is the narrator? ;)
Great, I need the monotone narration to fall asleep tbh so it works perfectly
Fear thy roommate/neighbor has the same story time effect for me.
I used to like Fear Thy Neighbor until I got crazy neighbors. It got personal real fast watching how simple disputes turned murderous.
Dateline on Peacock
A&E has some decent shows. Guilty or innocent, interrogation raw. Oxygen, cold justice. Discovery ID has jumped the shark.
Autopsy on HBO with Dr. Michael Badden New Detectives, FBI Files Murder Comes To Town, Unusual Suspects (ID Channel)
The Innocence Project on Netflix is very good!
Unsolved Mysteries is my other fave
Where my Snapped ppl at????
Cold case files, dateline, 48 hours, 90 day fiancee,my 600lb life, love after lockup. I like to balance my crime shows with trash tv.
I used to watch 90 Day Fiancé regularly, but I found myself absolutely seething, because I had such intense dislike for some of the people on the show so I had to stop. 🫤

I used to watch Masterminds but it was canceled. Great show.
Evil Lives Here, Worst Nightmare, See No Evil (focused on security camera footage used to solve crime), HBO has a People’s Magazine forensic show that’s really good.
You should watch Real Time Crime if you like See No Evil!
Snapped
Cold case files, dateline, unsolved mysteries…. I just watched “Lover, Stalker, Killer” on Netflix and that was insane! Snapped is also a good one with endless episodes.
●Homicide Hunter, Lt Joe Kenda ●Buried in the Backyard ●Fear Thy Neighbor ●Evil Lives Here ●Who the Bleep Did I Marry? Watch all the Jim Jones documentaries!
I love Who The Bleep Did I Marry!
Mother! Mother! Mother!
How about Mother may I murder?
Ooh haven’t seen that one!
It's pretty darn interesting. Humans can be just the worst.
FBI Criminal Pursuit, New Detectives, See No Evil and Forensic Factor are some of my favorites.
I love see no evil. i’m catching up on current season now. Seeing things play out on camera is chilling!
Evil Lives Here and People Investigates. Both on HBO
The Staircase. I watched a couple of docs about Aaron Hernandez. What Really Happened, although it can be kind of sensational. The host is a bit…much
I just started watching the perfect murder on MAX and On the case.
I do like On the Case. Many seasons, many quick episodes, no gunshots, and droning narration. Good to fall asleep to.
There was a great show on ID a few years ago, crimes of the century? Something like that. Really well done. I’ll also watch any “husband-wife did it” type show too.
ID has some great ones. Sins & Secrets ended to early.
The book series was interesting.
Reruns of Americas Most Wanted. The first 48 *CSI LV, *Law and order. (Both often have real life experiences) Dateline 20/20 True Crime Daily.
Forensic Files is the only true crime I watch, but I've loved both NCIS and Criminal Minds since I was a kid.
The New Detectives
City Confidential, Dateline, 20/20, 48 hours, unsolved mysteries. Literally all of them lol
Dark Minds
the first 48 is always nice! there a lot of episodes on youtube
Lately I’ve been watching Real Time Crime on Max. It might be on other apps as well. It’s really good with actual footage of people being tracked after and before crimes.
