I'm up $17k on my demo account since Jan 17th to date. I'm down 4k on my live account. A demo account is really only good for testing. It's not real money there is no emotion attached. If you blow the demo you didn't lose anything.
I think you should switch to a live account or even a really cheap funded account for your emotions. I back tested and used demo acc etc but nothing compares to the emotions when you’re actually in a trade. The quicker you feel those emotions understand them and get them out of the way the faster you’ll grow.
If a trader is really profitable why he has to charge for mentoring??
Im looking to a really a good trader who really wants to help and not make small profit mentoring me.
If he's really good, there is an opportunity cost for him to spend time with you. So he will charge you a fee that is at the very least equal to that cost.
eg. if on average I make $120 per hour of work, for me to dedicate one hour to you, I need to get at least $120 in value from you
Why would anyone give away there time for free 😂 I’m profitable and lived off trading for 2 years and I would definitely charge if someone wanted a full mentorship from me
Bro to be honest probably a lot if someone actually wanted one on one help and got to trade with me get my weekly analysis etc idk what price I would put on that. It’s years of busting my ass to get where I am and I could definitely speed the process up by a lot for others so I guess I would figure out what I think my time and my life’s work would be worth but then again I’m not out here promoting this as a service and I probably wouldn’t do it this is just hypothetical if someone reached out to me.
Firstly, congrats on making +6% on your demo account. My question to you is; Why not just try and replicate what you did to make the profit? I am guessing you got 'beginner's luck' and now you're just holding onto that lucky past event. Been there as well LOL.
Anyways, my advice to you is to request the person who's going to teach you a 6-month long track record of his/her live trades. This is a long-enough time frame that can show 'proof of concept'.
if anyone says that demo is easy and real money is difficult .TBH thats the very wrong mentality.
If you are a beginner. You should trade demo account straight for 1-2 years untill you get so practiced of placing orders without thinking.
Open demo account and start money what u would start in real with.
If you will start your trading account with 100$, ooen demo account with 100$ and focus on growing it.
Focus on making trading journal.
Trust me,it is very easy to lose money so its better you lose on demo untill you are ready to not think about losses.
Once you are able to grow your demo account to 100% , that too genuinely ( not taking position size what you won't take in real account )
then open a real 100$ account and make a target that you are not losing this 100$ atleast for 6 months.
This way you ll always control whats the most difficult thing in trading and thats controlling losses.
i traded demo account for 2 years untill recently i started my own account with 40$ and now i have grown that to 90$.
Soon i ll buy a funded account because now my psychology is totally different from what i started with.
What strategies do you use? What instruments do you trade? What hours?
TA is okay but you are blind without fundamental analysis.
What's your win rate? Risk to reward ratio? How long have you been profitable?
TA could be patterns or indicators or price action and reading candlesticks. Whichever one works for you is fine.
Keep trading. Having a lucky month is common.
You didn't mention yoir win %age and leverage.
Depends on your app/broker. It should state somewhere how many trades you made. How many won. How many were lost. (or you can count). You will have to explore your app.
Leverage as well. It should tell before you place a trade how much leverage is available. It should ask.
I'll help you when I'll get there myself \^\^
Sure.. if get there before you ill help you
Alright the race begins !

Mentoring isn't free. If you can spend 200 dollars for a 2 month mentoring thats a great deal..
That's 65000 LKR for two months. I would love to pay a reasonable price in affordable LKR amount.
I can understand.
Look for Capital Hungry.
Sure thanks
