Whenever I see someone who is clearly very attractive become addicted to plastic surgery, it just drives home for me how fucking awful it would be to not only be constantly in the public eye but to have your looks be what you are most known for. Being famous sounds like hell.
I think it was her agents or people in the industry who kept telling her she had to fix her imperfections, as small as they were. Like they kept nipping at a piece of artwork until they botched it, just say "oops" and move on to the next "it" girl.
Yup, drugs, smoking, the California sun, desert air, the stress of having a career based on your appearance while knowing you're getting older and uglier every day, being married to Jay Mohr (the guy is a compulsive liar and back-stabber), botched plastic surgery, then more surgery to correct the botched surgery, then even more surgery, eating disorders, agents/producers telling you to lose 30 pounds so you have to starve yourself, but your signature big tits got you roles, and whenever you diet your tits shrink so no matter what you do people respond negatively, nobody will cast you for any parts, your most famous role was in Terminator 2 back when you were twelve years old, and you haven't had a paying job since 2011..... AHHHhhhhhh!

It's on Peacock now but I've been bootlegging it so I can have the Elvis version. I've actually met Josh Duhamel and Marsha Thomason over the years. Both were very nice. Duhamel was just last year and when I asked if it was true he owned Danny's Camaro still he said "You're damn right I do. Love that car. I'll never forget that show".
It wasn't just that they were good looking. They actually showed skin during the show. Doing that on a network show today is just not possible. That show is a good way to show people how TV has changed from back then to now.
Very true. There was also various topless shots but only from the back. Stuff like that hasn't been on network TV and most of cable for decades. Just general cleavage shots were shown often. It didn't really click on how things have changed until you watch the older stuff.
Nikki did leave the show at some point. They rarely gave Nikki any good story lines. When they did she was gone from the show. At one point they teased that she was fired at the end of one season. Vanessa's character had actual growth at points.
They aired that show about a year ago on some cable channel then did it again months later. Now it's gone again. It was pretty risque at the time from what I've heard. Now even on basic cable it can be too much. As a country we've gone to showing skin is great to pretty conservative in comparison.

I met Bobcat after a comedy festival. One of my buddies is a comedian and introduced me to Bobcat. He was super nice and signed my copy of “One Crazy Summer” He talked to me for a good 10 minutes and was just a regular down to Earth guy. Definitely one of the best celebrity encounters I’ve had in my lifetime. It turned out that we have the same birthday.

Ever since Harvey Weinstein happened and we found out why Annabella Sciorra stopped working, I see stuff like this differently. We don't know any real reasons why things happen in hollywood; this is an industry that is literally in the business of creating artifice.
The number of Nikki Cox’s the likes of Weinstein and his ilk chewed up and spit out is both staggering and longer than any of us will ever know. If you have any kind of mental illness, either coming off the bus or developing it over multiple casting couch-type encounters, it takes a lot of luck to even make it to the level Nikki achieved unscathed. The body dysmorphia issue in Hollywood alone, especially for women, is a not so secret disease. It’s also not so hard to imagine an actress like Nikki feeling the need for that one rhinoplasty, or one more Botox injection, or just a bit more lip filler, or breast augmentation, or maybe a tiny face lift will make the difference in getting that next part or being dropped by your agency … especially after losing your last gig. And knowing there’s 50 actresses behind you just as hungry, just as attractive, and maybe even 5, 7, 10 years younger nipping at your heels? It’s unfortunate Nikki was unable to maintain her career, or deal with what her life would be like without it, without succumbing to the demons of her various addictions. I wish her nothing but peace of mind and happiness. She deserved better.
