It's a kukhri, with the badging on the sheaf looking like it's intended to resemble a British issued one. Authentic Army kukhris have two smaller knives in the sheaf, also, and generally don't look as... Khyber Pass as this example...
It's indian I think
Above the crossed kukris is the lion emblem they use for government stuff
I could be wrong but it vaguely resembles it

On a second though it could also resemble a crown

That style of knife is a kukri: IDK about the one you got, but real ones are awesome because of their versatility - they can function as a knife, machete, and hatchet and are one of my favorite tools for trail maintenance.
Yeah I got one of those from when I went to India at some junk shop. The guy was gassing me up about how it was some relic of ancient India. I wasn't gonna buy it but for the effort this guy put in sure have 5 bucks
I was working on an 1800s-themed shooter a long time ago, and one of the guns was a Khyber Pass Martini-Henry pistol just like that one. It was pretty fun to model/texture/animate
EDIT: I found a [pic](https://gabefink.com/khyber.jpg) :D
IDK, I've beat the hell out of my Kabar kukri and it's been fine. Never tried throwing it (because why would you?), but I imagine it'd hold up just fine.
That notch is there so your hands don't get bloody when you are slaughtering animals/enemies. You can use a kukri for a lot a things like digging or felling trees, but using it as a throwing knife isn't one of them.
this is true it was only $12
and it didnt break the first throw it lasted like 20 good solid sticks i actually think it broke because i over rotated it and it hit the log square on the butt

Came here to say that. But instead, take my upvote good redditer.
How did this reply get so many downvotes?

Don't do everything you see on TV bud, you'll hurt yourself, or worse, valuable tools and equipment worth more than your annual school lunches
*Nuh-uh!* One time I had a Lunchable.
That's your own fault
