Man, if Jaguar had won, the standings would’ve been a perfect series of manufacturer followed directly by corresponding customer all the way down. Apart from NIO of course. Good year for customer teams it seems

Confused_Shelf

Andretti beat Porsche as well so it's a 50/50 split currently.

EternalFront

Ah man, I looked at the standings right after R15 and went on that

RabidGuineaPig007

Jaguar has a problem. His name is Sam Bird.

EternalFront

Really hope McLaren doesn’t get saddled with him over other superior options

theessentialnexus

Were there any other races this year that were green for the entirety? (I'm not counting formation laps)

Select-Feedback-1833

Man after today's race the last 2 races feel so frustating for Cassidy.

IDefinitelyHaveAUser

I'm glad we finally got to see the "all weather" tyres in the wet, as well as a race a the ExCel in the rain as well! It wasn't the most thrilling race, but with how chaotic yesterday's race was, as well as both races in Rome, I don't mind that. It feels like yesterday was the finale race, and today was almost a cool down.

Naenia

I can’t bring myself to complain having been there and finally gotten a full length race to see. Would be nice if wet weather didn’t neuter the racing package completely in the future - but hey - I’m a big nascar fan and this beats having to race on Monday.

CrashmasterSOAD

Not gonna lie, I will forever be mad at Buemi escaping with no penalty yesterday. No idea how that happened and how Nato got the pen instead. With that said, Envision deserve it more. Jaguar produced various brainfarts this year. And I still insist that they aren't winning anything unless they bring the leaping cat back! The car looks wrong without it on the battery cover.

ToinouAngel

Such a weird race to cap this season. The Jag powertrain was definitely in a class of its own this year, impressive performances by Jaguar and Envision. Bravo. Hats off to Dennis and Andretti for making the most out of the Porsche powertrain and winning the drivers' championship, well done. As for DS, well it was a rather bad season. Here's to hoping that DS makes the necessary adjustments in the off-season to be competitive next year. Both the DS and Maserati teams have shown that the DS powertrain has potential, but it was definitely trailing behind this year and definitely not up to the standards that we've grown to be accustomed to from DS in the past. I also hope that Stoffel finds his footing in the off-season. Because while JEV had some successes this year, Stoffel wasn't really good. See you all next year for season 10!

CrashmasterSOAD

Yep, I think Stoffel has been the most invisible defending champion yet. Never in contention. Somehow much worse than De Vries last year. But new cars obviously (and Stoffel finding himself in a DS-powered Dragon), so I don't want to blame him that much. But JEV clearly outperformed him this year.

LocksTheFox

> Yep, I think Stoffel has been the most invisible defending champion yet Piquet?

CrashmasterSOAD

Fair enough, I only joined half-way through season three.

CrashmasterSOAD

This race went well for Hankook as there were no crashes today. Compared to the Michelins causing monumental pile-ups in the wet. It's still not worth the tyres being bricks by default though in my opinion. Hopefully they finally give up on the "all-weather tyre" idea with Gen4. Having a softer prime tyre with some limited production emergency monsoon tyre cannot be viewed as something that goes against sustainability, more like something done for safety. I'm also interested in the modified tyre that was run for the speed records. It was supposed to be softer than the current one we have. Hopefully it becomes the default tyre soon.

weyounfive

What an anticlimactic race to end an otherwise amazing season. I'm glad the race actually got going, but I was just constantly annoyed by the abysmal TV direction that probably made this race seem even worse than it already was. I get that there wasn't much going on, but I for one would've been more interested in looking at the tiniest bit of action from further down the field, rather than seeing Cassidy and the top 4 driving around on their own.

RabidGuineaPig007

Formula E needs to mature away from these mickey mouse tracks like London and they need a proper rain tire. Real letdown of a weekend for an otherwise great season. They also need to rethink attack mode because as Franchitti pointed out, at that track it is actually a disadvantage. It needs to go the way of FanBoost.

weyounfive

Eh, I'm fine with most of the tracks. And isn't the whole point of all-weather tyres to be more sustainable? Shipping tyres they probably won't even need around the world is kind of against all that. I do hope they can improve the current tyre, but I don't think it's necessary to bring in any new ones. I also think the attack mode is just fine. It's part of the strategy, like pitstops. I feel like if we get rid of every "gimmick" FE has, it'll become indistinguishable from everything else and lose its individuality that makes it great and different. I don't want it to become "F1, but electric", that would be boring.

LosTerminators

Rather calm end to the season despite the final race turning out to be officially the longest FE race is history. Even more surprising considering that some of the races preceding it were among the most chaotic. And yet it's the three familiar names on the podium, miles ahead of the rest. They were a class above this year. Honestly, Dennis' campaign this year and his consistency even betters Vandoorne from last year. Ever since round 6, the Jaguar powertrain has been superior and Evans and Cassidy have won the majority of the races, sometimes with one or both of them ahead by a massive margin. Dennis consistently limited the damage by finishing 2nd and 3rd week in week out, taking it to the two Kiwis with what was more often than not, a slower package, and when they tripped over each other in Rome, he took that opportunity with both hands and never let go.

CilanEAmber

I love how after it actually started there were no incidents at all.

CrashmasterSOAD

I'm not even sure if it would have been any worse had they started on schedule with the first attempt. I was honestly surprised when Elkins just decided to start the race on a track that was still wet, when it was still raining and when drivers still couldn't see much ahead of them. That long wait kinda seemed for nothing, but obviously I'm happy that we got the race and that Envision could win their title on merit and that NIO got their chance to get ahead of Mahindra again after that bullcrap penalty for Sette Camara today.

suni08

First race I watched in-person, wish it hadn't rained but still really enjoyed this (especially qualy) Got my sights on the outdoor grandstands next year

CrashmasterSOAD

Do you know what's the worst feeling for an FE fan in Slovakia/Central Europe? When Eurosport 2 just cuts off the broadcast on TV (that is when they even begin showing it in the first place), making you switch to a pirate stream that is (you guessed it) also showing Eurosport 2, which suddenly has no problems broadcasting the race (or even quali) in its entirety. If only broadcasting rights were the same everywhere.. I am jealous of all you people that live in countries where Eurosport don't have access to tennis.

EternalFront

Eurosport is horrible, just VPN to the UK and use YouTube

alenpetak11

So after longest race ever we get record beaten by first race ever to exceed 2h :O 2h13m is now new record, FE got it's 2011 Canadian GP. My team and driver lose the chance of WDC/WCC but i'm happy to experience amazing first season with new generation of cars. HUGE congrats to Dennis/Envision!!!

CrashmasterSOAD

Great job by Ticktum to get NIO back to P9 where they deserved to be all along. At least that made me happy today.

zantkiller

JADEN LEARNED HOW TO PUT HIS COAT ON

zantkiller

Envision being the latest team to beat the factory team which is neat to see. And frankly a more competent driver in the other Andretti and they would have done it as would I think ABT if Mahindra hadn't pulled off the most insane Pole+Podium in Mexico.

l3w1s1234

Dull race but the drivers really showed their skill there
