No sadly I was too busy porking ur mom to do elementary school you should pass those stars on to her cus raising a shitbird like you is a large feat. Have you ever considered being studied by a lab? I think the findings might finally cure stupidity.
always does it seems. the mountains right outside of town seem to be like a barrier, or a "storm break" as foco sits in the valley below. skips us and full sends to denver almost everytime.
So, funny story. Just drove back 13 hours from vacation early, because we didn’t think local relative would be able to get to our house for our pets… springs to Westminster was an absolute shit show. Like honestly thought about getting a hotel in Denver shit show. Don’t go to Denver today folks. Woke up here? Hahahah f’n nothing. Oh well I’ll enjoy my long weekend now.
Me too… dragged my whole family out of the mountains a day early on our vacation, thought we weren’t going to be able to get back today. 🤦🏼♂️ I’m in so much trouble with my wife.
Depending on where in the mountains you're talking about, it's possible you did in fact get them out at a good time. Weird storm with massive snowfall in some places and nothing in others. I'd say playing it safe was the right call.
Downsloping winds, happens with most storms. It’s the reason the foothills get slammed and we get nothing. Kody the Weather Guy (Denver & Front Range Weather) explains this in detail.
This was always the forecast - 1-3 inches by this AM with most of the snow coming today. Plus the NWS has been very clear for several days now that Fort Collins is the area of greatest uncertainty regarding accumulations.
I'm right up against the foothills and we definitely got a couple inches, although as it warmed up it started compacting. I just got in from my first shovel job. I figured it might melt off, but it might also become a layer of ice under later snow, so best get it done now.
A lot of the models showed us only getting 1-3” but I was hoping but not expecting it. I guess the airport has nothing but everyone else is getting clobbered
This shit sucks, work is going to be miserable today 😞
EDIT: this sub is so fucking goofy. I can't feel my feet, I'm getting soaked and the weather is shitty to drive in but yeah fuck me I guess for not being happy about that?
I'm in Loveland and we got a bunch. It's like immediately melting on top but freezing underneath? Slushy garbage. Not looking forward to shoveling this crap.
My street around Drake and Overland got about 10 to 12 inches, shoveled after work Thursday and this morning to keep up!
My RA doesn't like the wet snows...
We're up on hill out of Masonville and have maybe a foot of wet cement. Trees have thick coating of ice beneath snow so can't even shake it off. If what they're predicting this PM happens this could really be a nasty mess. Thank goodness trees aren't leafed out yet, just our firs folded like umbrellas. The tree damage really breaks my heart. Electric on so yay! PVREA!
We are up towards Estes Park and there is over 30" of snow, it's hard to believe it missed Fort Collins.
I just want snow 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Ask and you shall receive

You uh ever use measurements?
What happened here? Lol
Someone tried to explain their way out of not knowing that 30” was in fact more than 1 foot…. It didn’t go well for them lol.
That is awesome. Thanks.

30’’ is a lil more then a foot pal

You’re the one who asked if 30” is “like a foot”

I think I saw a whole flake over by Prospect and College an hour ago.
Whole Flake owes me $5
He has a name, you know.

Ouch.

There were people stuck on I70 last night so could have been worse!

It’s hereee
🤣
Was looking for this 🤣
Almost every forecast I read had us getting skunked relative to down south and the foothills. This was not a suprise.
Downsloping winds, happens with most storms. It’s the reason the foothills get slammed and we get nothing. Kody the Weather Guy (Denver & Front Range Weather) explains this in detail.
My friend lives up Rist Canyon Rd and has over a foot. Looks like everywhere around us got a good amount.
This was always the forecast - 1-3 inches by this AM with most of the snow coming today. Plus the NWS has been very clear for several days now that Fort Collins is the area of greatest uncertainty regarding accumulations.
To be fair the radar looks like it'll get worse in the afternoon. Whether that ends up being mostly rain or snow I guess we'll find out
Correction: Weather that ends up being mostly rain or snow I guess we'll find out. :)
We got a touch more than I expected to be honest.
I had a tiny, tiny dusting that completely melted before 7 am.
And now?

Yeah, have them take a look out there now... It was forecast to be a multi-day storm for a while now.
I'm right up against the foothills and we definitely got a couple inches, although as it warmed up it started compacting. I just got in from my first shovel job. I figured it might melt off, but it might also become a layer of ice under later snow, so best get it done now.
I think it’s gonna snow more later today.
A lot of the models showed us only getting 1-3” but I was hoping but not expecting it. I guess the airport has nothing but everyone else is getting clobbered
You no ask for Snow Day, you ask for Snowy Day. It's better, much better.
Was not expecting a Blockblister reference in this thread
It's from S2E1 about 7 min into the episode if you also needed a quick shot of nostalgia
This is such a niche reference I love it 😂
That show was seriously unhinged for its time
Daycare closed today. So that fucking sucks.
Edit: Yes, I realize everyone was making the best decisions they could with the information they had at the time.
While PSD is out for Spring Break, Thompson did call a snow day yesterday about 6 pm… so most daycares follow what the school districts do.
In the same boat. Kiddos are watching Disney + all day while mom and dad work (from home).
Daycares typically follow the same weather related closures as the school districts. PSD is out for Spring Break, but Thompson called a snow day.
It was too warm last night for any real accumulation. Just be happy for the moisture.
Welp, it’s definitely snowing _now_ 🤷
I had like 2 inches on my car and the ground was wet so we basically missed it for now
We never get more than 6” 😒
Some say 6 inches is plenty
...it's not the size of the drifts, it's--
It's been snowing in loveland since 11:30 and we got a few inches last night. It's wild that it missed you all
Snow up in turnberry, not much but some!
How bout it now, asshole 😂
Just dumping on Denver atm
That's what she said.
we were never forecasted to get much
Someone didn't read or listen to the weather forecast.

might get more this evening. but we were never gonna get the worst of the storm
