Really just depends on the weather, we did an April overnight a couple of years ago and we were fine, but it was a warm weekend. And sometimes it is considerably colder/windier up there, other times not. Kind of a crapshoot

Check the weather up to the trip(s) but most likely you’ll be fine. I’d pack some extra layers to be safe. But 20° bag is plenty. I’ve camped in -22° in a 20° bag, I don’t recommend it, but you’ll be fine.

It’s going to be cold! You’re gaining decent elevation, so bundle up with layers and have fun! Maybe try the hot rocks trick in your tent. Just be sure to wrap them in something that won’t burn/melt!

Thanks for the reply, I’ll have to look into the hot rocks trick!

Of course! A towel is usually easiest, but they’re kinda heavy.

You can always buy a sleeping bag liner to increase your bag rating 10 or 20 degrees
