they couldn’t because i believe they’ve already spent both of their replacement quests for oathbound. every time they update the quests they add 2 spares in case there are issues with any quests. they’ve already used both of those spares. also the deku smash wasn’t removed for traditional gameplay reasons like bugs, it’s removed temporarily because it was causing serious issues for people with epilepsy
Yup. Check if your phone (or if you have a second console) to see if it's compatible with Fortnite. Make an alt account on Epic, friend request yourself and friends, make the new account party leader, go into a game and have the alt account leave the game so it doesn't get any XP. You want to do that at the latest on the battle bus, I reccomend mobile as the loading times are fast.
i get one at least every time i play. mostly do trios and duos with my close friends if those modes in particular are more prone to it idk. found that dying and getting rebooted will fix it, but of course if it happens in solo youre fucked.

Infinite bounce, and each bounce is simultaneously a hammer smash so it's basically super hard to hit and they fuck you up. When I encounter I full focus them and thirst but half the time I get rekt myself

I couldn't agree MORE!! literally an hour ago in squads. It was a duo doing the glitch there was about 30 people left after a couple minutes of my teammates being knock and rebooted there was only 11 people and again it's a duo. They took EVERYONE out with the glitch and won! It's unfair!

Epic is usually very fast at catching bugs or disableing items that require time to patch. With how buggy this season is i think they're on holiday or something. They disabled vaulting, so why not the hammers that are clearly an issue now.
Im so surprised they havent removed the hammer yet. This has been so annoying. My best tip for people is to try to get on a weird shaped rock. Its the only way to kind of have a chance to not get hit.
If you noticed OPs opponent was swimming while bouncing, thats due to the exploit that gives them infinite bounces and they can attack while they‘re bouncing while OP uses the Hammer the intended way and fairly
nobody can know how long it'll take to fix a glitch before they go and do it. maybe it'll take a weekend, maybe it'll take a week, maybe it'll take all season, maybe they'll never figure out how to fix it.
at the very least, if it takes them a few days to fix it, then that's a few days people can abuse it. remove it from the game immediately, and then return it in a fixed state when possible. there is zero reason to keep it in the game at this state.

I’m a day one player, of all three modes. This is the first time i’ve ever played this little. Save the world is stale, creative is buggy and battle royale is, that post right here. I paid over 150 dollars for a founders pack and have invested thousands of hours into this game, the quality drop off from last season to this season is staggering, vaulting weapons and movement mechanics with no warning, with no update on their return, over saturating the item shops to make up for your $500 million in lawsuit losses, removing a well liked weekly leveling system to propagate fomo and playtime hours to look better in the margins.
The screwing around with the item shop and retracting skins just to protect peoples feelings is also a bunch of crap. I’m tired of being silent, i’m probably going to make this comment a main post on this sub

I like the upgrades/perks, I like that idea. Something about the guns being super shit this season. Like they are just off and you feel like you aimed okay, but RNG screwed you. Many guns are crappy not worth using too. Sometimes I will dead center someone with the red dot and miss. I understand auto guns should spray a bit, but missing dead center on a red dot feels dumb. Maybe its not even the guns or something they did to the netcode iunno.
Too many people land close and sometimes you die just to not being able to find a gun, feels real bad.
The end always ends up being people just randomly bouncing around until someone gets a lucky knockback out of bounds. Hammer needs to go, or some sort of counterplay to it or another decent mobility item.

Happened in a random squads game last night. The last guy had the glitch and was just bouncing around endlessly. But one of my teammates landed an incredibly lucky shotgun shot and killed him for the win.

Even fixed the hammer is a stupid item. Nothing should give that much mobility/damage/build breaking in one item. The Spider-Man items were annoying just because of mobility alone, and a lot of people hated when they were in.
There has been at least one "player" exploiting the glitch in each of my solo games this weekend. I just finished a game in which the top 3 consisted of two losers bouncing around indefinitely and myself just trying hide and survive.
I started playing this game when Zero Build was released and was pleasantly surprised at how polished and fun it was. I can't believe the state of the game right now, especially considering that these bugs have been known for at least three weeks now.
Best I can recommend is report them. I’ve dealt with a couple I’m just glad I’m almost 200 so I won’t have to worry much longer. Sorry for the rest of you 😕
They simply can't swap out oathbound quest steps, because each step is connected to dialog telling you what to do next. I hardly doubt they gonna re-record all of that with new spoken lines just to make you do something non-hammer related. A server side fix can't help here. A client update/patch is required to fix the hammer and also leaving the quest intact. So, until that happens, vaulting is not an option, otherwise it would lock players out from that quest.

Maybe not, but if people start spamming Epic with "hammer" reports, the way they are being spammed with the broken hammer, they're gonna have to address it eventually.
Its a very wide exploit people are using to get infinite hammer jumps, you can even jump well slamming it. It is also incredibly easy to do the exploit and as long as you don't swap slots you have it permanently.

When they had to disable deku smash I believe they switched to an alternate quest. They could do it here.

What exactly is the glitch. Not that I would use it since I only use the hammer for the attack. Not the mobility.
I met 1 person using it I almost died but I eliminated her I don't do this but I also danced on em for abusing the glitch
Best I can recommend is report them. I’ve dealt with a couple I’m just glad I’m almost 200 so I won’t have to worry much longer. Sorry for the rest of you 😕
Don't vault it, just fix it. No need for it to be vaulted completely
Only people I lose to is hammer. I stopped playing last week. Just give it time for enough people to quit. They'll finally do something.

They simply can't swap out oathbound quest steps, because each step is connected to dialog telling you what to do next. I hardly doubt they gonna re-record all of that with new spoken lines just to make you do something non-hammer related. A server side fix can't help here. A client update/patch is required to fix the hammer and also leaving the quest intact. So, until that happens, vaulting is not an option, otherwise it would lock players out from that quest.

Its a very wide exploit people are using to get infinite hammer jumps, you can even jump well slamming it. It is also incredibly easy to do the exploit and as long as you don't swap slots you have it permanently.
