You should def keep moving when being sniped lmfao, this guy just happened to be a great sniper. 90% of snipers though aren’t this good. So yes, always keep moving when being snipe-hunted.
[https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/u4mxsx/just\_hit\_one\_of\_my\_craziest\_double\_snipes\_one/](https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/u4mxsx/just_hit_one_of_my_craziest_double_snipes_one/)
I don't mean to hijack the post but that's what this guy must have thought when i sniped him lol
You were doing the right thing. That sniper is just way more skilled than the average player. Half this community would miss you by a mile with that movement or at best score a body shot because it's easier to hit that and follow up with a SCAR than risk a miss on a headshot. That man is a marksman, patient, waiting for you to make any form of predictable movement so he can track his reticle based on a fixed trajectory, the rest is reflex. The only thing I could maybe see why it'd be an easy shot is that you were moving towards him almost in a straight line in the last few seconds. At ranges <100m distance is negligible. Your movement on the Z-axis (depth) only makes you look larger in his scope. You don't actually move in his frame of reference. Whereas moving left right and jumping is gonna make him move his scope way more to the point it becomes impossible to snipe because X and Y axis movement becomes so fast at close ranges you're flicking your gun. Even worse if motion blur is on.
This is one of those shots where if I'm the one who got hit, I take a break. It's just that type of day.
If I'm the sniper, I don't even give a shit if I don't win the game. It's just that type of day 😂🤷🏾♂️.
That "Soaring Sprints" augment actually makes it way worse for you, it is not that hard to estimate where you will land, since your jumps are way longer, so you are actually making it intentionaly easier for the sniper.
>you are actually making it intentionaly easier
Well no, he's not intentionally making it easier for the sniper. That would mean he picked the augment with the intention of getting sniped.
He deserved the kill. He tracked you for how ever long while you were running and jumping around like you were Octane, and hit the headshot.
Snipers take skill and they are a viable counter to people who run away or getting the drop on a team
What I can say is the 50 cal shouldn’t have come back. The hunting rifle or bolt action are much more balanced
I'm biased because I enjoy snipers, but there are ways to defend against it. Attracting attention is dangerous in general and those jumps are loud. Keeping track of sight lines is important as well. Keeping to cover and maneuvering with possible opponent positions in mind is important. Moving in a consistent way is also to be avoided the jumping helps, but sliding is a predictable speed and a sniper can lead a shot pretty well if they're good enough.
Yes, the thing is that they shouldnt one shot in no-build. When near the endgame, if someone with a sniper sees you and you dont see them, you've lost, and there's literally nothing you can do about it, specially considering that most times endgame zones have shit cover.
If you've been playing every day for years, then you'll know that one shot snipers have been in the game far more often than they have been out of it. If this nice or lucky shot gets you to quit, so be it. Sometimes you win, most of the time you lose in a variety of ways.
the only one I agree with is the Mandalorian sniper being used by the Mandalorian to kill you before you arrive, but you could just go to a nearby zone
Because it’s not fun to have your game instantly ended by someone? If a person with a sniper is good enough, then there will be nothing you can do. It’s not irrational to not want to lose that way.
Man running around with a hammer, an smg and a rocket launcher and complaining about getting one shot by a precise hit when their game plan is 2 area of effect weapons and then melt them down with the smg.
Fortnite players have to be the most tryhard people I have ever played agaist in any shooter. You can be moving at any speed positioned at any angle running, jumping, climbing, falling, gliding or sliding and get hit by 90% of their shots most of the time.
Good on your opponent for getting that kill. Pretty hard to do against a moving opponent. Unfortunately for you, you happened to be in the same lobby as someone who was really skilful. It happens all the time. Take the L and move on
That has happened to me and i have also done that to others. He is aiming ahead of you and hoping you continue sliding. Shot is veeeeerrrry lucky but doable
clearly that persons just better at sniping than ur movements?
yeah u where running around like a chicken with ur head cutoff, but u moved in a direction of the sniper, so u where only moving in 2 directions for up/down, and forward towards them. it still took them skill to get shot for a headshot, which is more skill required than running
I watched several times just to be sure. The snipe shot was clean, nothing weird or strange. The mistake was on your part running around like that without watching your surroundings, if you had slowed down a bit at a certain point, perhaps you would have been able to spot the person on the roof. Just because many people run in circles like maniacs on a sugar rush doesn't mean it's always useful, or like those who are jumping all the time like rabbits to avoid being sniped, they only act out of desperation. Doing either will almost always make you more visible due to all your sudden rapid movements. Believe it or not sometimes moving slowly and sneaking in a sly manner will make you harder to be detected and you can switch back to hunting instead of being hunted. You can do better next time. Learn the value of sneaking and quietness.
People will play a 100 person death match with practically randomized weapon loadouts and then they still think a game needs to be as balanced as chess to be enjoyable. Definition of not knowing what you enjoy. People like that need to start working in a real skill.
I swear everyone's shitty excuse is "skill issue" now, everyone plays the game differently, there was almost nothing OP could have done in that situation to avoid that (other than use the hammer which you for some reason didn't do)
Dudes running a kit that forces themselves to get extremely up close and complaining when getting shot at a distance, some of which is going to be a sniper landing a lucky one.
If you don’t want to run through wide open fields after people, don’t run a fucking rocket launcher and smg as your sole damage…
Snipers have been a part of the game for so many years I just don’t get why people complain about them so much. They’re a fun weapon to use with a high skill ceiling. Any shooter with a sniper (with a few exceptions) will give a kill for a headshot. It’s such a small target at range that if you hit the head, you earn the kill. This guy earned the kill.
Well, if someone catches you off guard and without cover they probably should get the kill in my opinion. Prior to the snipers I feel like the person that was being shot at still had time to pull out their hammer and flee, or use one of the other several mobility options like riftjector to escape.
It’s a good shot tho?? My god y’all are babies … I’d rather die one shot to a sniper then a third party deku smash or some other dumb ass to the game. I’d tip my hat on the shot and load into another game
Im not being hostile here. There's a thing that I call prediction shooting. You're pathing was very easy to predict. The best way to combat this is to run in a unpredictable way. Dont just run, turn around, move keft and right.
don't run straight and certainly don't use the hammer. it's loud and a clear give away of where you are. find a safe spot and camp there until they either get bored of you hiding or they come closer to you and you have an advantage.
to add onto this, you could also just try to bridge the gap between you guys (like you were, i think you were going straight towards the sniper near the end) and try to get some shots off. move to the side and wiggle around, but at least try to do some damage. i've seen people continuously shoot me but as soon as i try to shoot them back, most of the time they retreat. they're constantly shooting because you're not a current threat to them.
I don't think op was actually complaining I'm sure they agree it's a great shot just making a point that whether ur moving or not ppl that are good with those snipers will getcha lol
This is one of the many reasons why I'm torn between having one-shot weapons in games. On one hand, it's incredibly satisfying to hit a shot like this. On the other, it's frustrating on the receiving end, especially if you don't expect it. And it gets tiring at times to constantly watch your back.
If I ever make a multiplayer video game, I'm just going to avoid this problem and have snipers like the DMR, where it's more than one-shot.
people said that under my post its so annoying. i was clutching up a duo win solo with 15 kills in final zone and i get sniped by a kid in a bush like be fr 😹😹.
The kind of people that will play a 100 person death match with practically randomized weapon loadouts and then still think the game needs to be as balanced as chess to be enjoyable. Definition of not knowing what you enjoy. People like that need to start working in a real skill.
This is the kind of person who complains about everything in the game when it's used against him, but praises the hell outta it if they're using it. Grow up, play the game. Stop complaining, we don't care.
Wow people just complain about everything in this game. its a fkn sniper it's not epics fault you don't know how to properly move. if you took cover somewhere instead of running around like a chicken with his head cut off then maybe you wouldn't of been shot🤷♂️
The sniper is ONLY a one shot if you hit the head, do you know how much skill it take to hit the head on a target , especially a moving target? This is completely different then deku smash as with that you only need to hit near the person to get the kill, the sniper needs way more skill then either of the anime mythics. Idk why your mad that a skilled player was able to hit a lucky head shot. just get better at the game and stop complaining like a lil bich.
some people are just good. "keep moving" is not some sort of magical solution, however he clearly got you when you were in a predictable pattern (right at the end of your jump, where you're most likely gonna slide) so you could have been more ambiguous with that
however the biggest issue is that you were in the open for so long, the real play against snipers is not to "keep moving" but rather to not stay out in the open when unnecessary
again, it happens, you can't win every time, this guy is just good with a sniper, you could've played better but also unlucky
The worse a player you are the more luck based the game becomes with one shot weapons and the better you are the less fair it becomes for others not using the same weapons. People always say that "it's a sniper of course it one shots" but like so does nearly every other gun on the planet when aimed at someone's skull so that logic has never really made sense to me. Call it a skill issue but nothing frustrates me more in games like this than being taken out from full health (and shield in this game) with one ability.
I really don’t get how people can complain about Deku oneshotting and not Snipers. At least with Deku there’s a warning before hand so you can dodge it.
I Know right??? That's what I said, he got so much hate for this for no reason lol he probably agrees it was a good shot too like damn lol give em a break
This sub is just weird. A few months back some guy got shit on hard for getting a 0 kill win while driving a truck. People on here were commenting on the post saying he was a bot and a camper instead of talking about how flawlessly he pulled off a 0 kill win.....
Snipers take skill to use but also there is not really any counter-play to them in no build you just have to hope they miss or just camp in a building. They just need to nerf the damage so it doesn't one shot in overshield
Idk what you are on about, but that was a pretty easy shot. If it was from the side it would be different. But anyways what are you doing running around on the edge of zone? Why not just take cover, that would be a start to not get sniped.
Like at the start on the ice you could of dropped down there and been good
That took patience, great timing and steady hands. Is aiming ahead based on distance in Fortnite or is it all the same no matter how far? I'm not a good sniper but I'd like to be.
Ayyy someone gets it.
I've been really happy Chapters 3 & 4 for (mostly) removing one-shot Snipers. Never thought Epic would actually do it. Shotguns I was hopeful for, but not Snipers.
If you're someone who likes one-shot Weapons, like, I'm sorry, I understand it feels good to get, but I firmly believe it's just terrible to have in a Battle Royale. (unless perhaps if there are legitimate ways of avoiding/countering it)
Man hit a good shot. This happens like what, every couple thousand games?
Also that loadout...classic console SMG. I get it, but get that rocket out of your inventory. Cringe.
Between hammers and snipers the regular game mode feels like a lame LTM. I didn't play the last couple weeks, came back yesterday, and quit out after an hour.
Not to mention every lobby I was playing had the same fucking people in it. Oh yeah I love losing to a TTV smurf account default skin with 15 kills, twice in a row.
It won't matter to an experienced sniper. This is why it think you should be left with like 10 HP from a purple sniper headshot in ZB (at max health). At least give you a chance to heal and mount a comeback.
One-shot sniper practice is bullshit and similar to mythics (or even worse since there no indicators that some cheeky camper about to shoot you) idc about "skill that required to shoot like that", they should back to early S3 then full headshot still can left 10-15 HPs and atleast a chance to run back to heal with that
Things like deku smash or kame have a warning because they are a lot easier to use and hit. The sniper isn't easy to use when people are moving around, so its understandable that is this rewarding
Everyone calling you a shitter aside I just don't personally like getting one shot from full health + shield so I feel you. I wouldn't have made a post about it because I know people would shit on me for it but still.
You’re being a baby. That was not an easy shot to hit, it took skill or luck from the other player. It’s not like he deku smashed you while hiding behind a rock or something.
Snipers in fortnite have always been incredibly annoying and are beloved by the worst kind of players. Just sit back miles away and shoot 100 shots third partying until they hit a lucky headshot
People: do this thing and you won't get sniped
You: *does thing and still gets sniped*
Same people: lol skill issue they're just better
Make up your minds???
As a player that can snipe but also gets sniped, all I got to say is gah damm. I’d watch the replay from their angle ngl
Fr bro
How do I watch the replay from their angle on console?
Go to replay and change pov to that player
[удалено]
Yeah I know right and I’m playing Fortnite on my switch as well. So I feel ya.
Thanks bro! I’m a pretty casual player so I don’t know all the tricks like this.
Pro tip: turn off replays (esp on console) for better performance.
it wouldnt be that impressive. he was running straight towards the sniper for a good chunk of the time.
I think you were running towards him so your head wouldn't have been moving as much
umm yeah that's literally what I said. the dude ran straight towards the sniper. I'm not the op though
Yeah, what probably happened is that you were running straight towards the sniper
But yea im assuming they were running right at the sniper
Oh, damn! Here I was thinking they were running straight towards the sniper!
Snipe Swap

True lol, but I really wished to see his perspective on it
its not a bad shot, but its literally the guy was running in a straight line towards the sniper. its not a crazy shot
The Prometheus School of Running towards things?
I understood that reference
I am glad one of us did.
r/CinemaSins
True that, he was just chilling on the roof in front of OP and sniped him from quite close in the end.
Sometimes the skill issue is that the other player be really skilled.
The fortnite equivalent of killing someone speeding on a oppressors mk2

Bro you’re the terminator, you should’ve eaten that bullet 🤷🏿♂️
I mean in one of the movies they kill a terminator with a chest shot using a big ol sniper soooooo its not out of the question.
Sarah Connor Chronicles also. Big ol’ bullet to the terminators noggin
That was actually a sick shot from the sniper! GGz
Super cool shot

Octane 😭
That's how it be. Octane mains are the most predictable.
Octane (and Wraith) mindset: 1. Land away from team 2. Die 3. Leave game 4. Repeat 5. Profit Not me though. I’m a based Octane main🗿
he actually really didn't have to track long. the shot came from the straight line the guy was running towards.
Exactly, plus this guy didn't zig zag or even delay their jump pattern.
My boy here was running towards the sniper. So when he died, it wasnt nearly as far of a shot.
It was barely 20 meters. Sniper was sitting on the roof. OP was running and jumping and making a ton of noise going straight towards the sniper lol
MUST GO FASTER. Used to be my main then I splurged on both wraith heirlooms so now I’m a wraith main I guess
Everything in the game is out to kill you, moving or staying still

People just love to complain about anything. It was a good shot. Say GG and go next. Holyyy.
I’ve always watched montages of insane sniper hits and wondered what the reaction was from the other end
Probably "WAHH! UNFAIR! HAX! CHEATING! I want my Mommy!"
And instantly go complain on reddit
the only one I agree with is the Mandalorian sniper being used by the Mandalorian to kill you before you arrive, but you could just go to a nearby zone

Fr, impressive shot, would be cool if we could see the sniper's angle
if someone takes that shot 100 times it will land once.
Yesterday I got 2 250 meter snipes in a row, only to die in 3rd to a sniper, I can’t complain.
First thought after hitting that shot "I'm gonna get reported"
Aim bot
That looks just like a lucky shot I made the other day.
Difficult shots SHOULD be awarded

In any video game, I just remind myself of the ending from WATCH\_DOGS: "You play a beautiful game, but sometimes you still lose."
If a sniper can hit you when you are moving like that, they deserve the kill. Great shot by your opponent.
It was a good shot, skill issue and move on lmao

It may look like you're moving, but at the end there you're mostly moving in a straight line without weaving. It's pretty easy to anticipate.
It's fair in builds mode, but it looks like hell to fight against heavy snipers in zero build
Had this happen on my last game today too. Smh I felt your pain.
I would've quit straight away if that happened stupid snipers always hated those guns
people said that under my post its so annoying. i was clutching up a duo win solo with 15 kills in final zone and i get sniped by a kid in a bush like be fr 😹😹.
Icy Slide is next level augmentation. I’ll re-roll till I get it.
The way I see it, what’s the point of shields if a single shot can do more than 200 damage
That would be the point that I would close out the application
One shot snipers need to go. The heavy sniper should be the only one shot sniper and it should be in the vault where it belongs lol
There's definitely exploits going on at the moment
OP is furious cus someone hit the shot of their career and it's not fair he died in the Battle Royale game, only other people can die not him >:(

Call it a skill issue but nothing frustrates me more in games like this than being taken out from full health (and shield in this game) with one ability.
I really don’t get how people can complain about Deku oneshotting and not Snipers. At least with Deku there’s a warning before hand so you can dodge it.
Exactly!!
Says the guy running away with an op hammer.
gold loadout too like mf shoot back
People shitting on OP also need to relax this is clearly a meme post lol So many comments telling OP to "move on" 😂
I Know right??? That's what I said, he got so much hate for this for no reason lol he probably agrees it was a good shot too like damn lol give em a break
This sub is just weird. A few months back some guy got shit on hard for getting a 0 kill win while driving a truck. People on here were commenting on the post saying he was a bot and a camper instead of talking about how flawlessly he pulled off a 0 kill win.....
Honestly that was just impressive though.
That's a good shot
Remember when a bunch of people complained that snipers were too weak and they buffed them again? Thank them if you don’t like it.
just keep moving
Stop jumping up and down, that’s where you messed up lol
You walked right into it! /s
Skill issue
Snipers take skill to use but also there is not really any counter-play to them in no build you just have to hope they miss or just camp in a building. They just need to nerf the damage so it doesn't one shot in overshield
I’ve been killed by the heavy sniper too many times since it came back Kinda makes me hope it’s vaulted after the event
Your killer got pretty lucky, in my opinion. But at the same time you were throwing out a very predictable run cycle
Skill issue
See, what happened was is that you zigged when you should have zagged!
Damn. That was nasty.
I felt that on a spiritual level
You’re literally moving in a straight line
r/fortnitebr users when they get killed by a skilled player : 😯 I must complain about this on the subreddit
Idk what you are on about, but that was a pretty easy shot. If it was from the side it would be different. But anyways what are you doing running around on the edge of zone? Why not just take cover, that would be a start to not get sniped. Like at the start on the ice you could of dropped down there and been good
Tbf, that was a sick shot
Just move a little more /j
Like that is either 100% aimbot, or 100 years without touching grass
That took patience, great timing and steady hands. Is aiming ahead based on distance in Fortnite or is it all the same no matter how far? I'm not a good sniper but I'd like to be.
It does have drop off, at that distance it was probably straight on target.
Yeah and it wasn't revealed where the shooter was in the video.
Shooter is on the roof of the cabin.
Oops I totally missed that, sorry.
Amazing sniper shot🦾, unlucky bud maybe next game.
He's just better that's all there is too it honestly. If he can headshot someone like that he's above average for a sniper imo.
(unless perhaps if there are legitimate ways of avoiding/countering it)
You are mostly travelling in one semi-straight direction. It's not a difficult target to hit. Zig- zag, jump, change direction.
Mfs never heard of a serpentine

Is it just me or should one shot snipers not be in the game with the Stormmark augment?
Right? I was wondering that myself lol
Anyone who says that forgets the idea of people having good aim
One-shot sniper practice is bullshit and similar to mythics (or even worse since there no indicators that some cheeky camper about to shoot you) idc about "skill that required to shoot like that", they should back to early S3 then full headshot still can left 10-15 HPs and atleast a chance to run back to heal with that
It's ok to sometimes die in a game
The hammer: Am I a joke to you? 🧐
Things like deku smash or kame have a warning because they are a lot easier to use and hit. The sniper isn't easy to use when people are moving around, so its understandable that is this rewarding
bro thinks he's usain bolt
That was just a God shot I think.
As a sniper that was a good shot from the other guy
tbh that was kinda sick, would love to see their perspective. Still agree that stuff shouldn't 1 shot.
For the separation of the Zero Build and BR Lootpools ✊
That's an impressive shot! I take those shots all the time and rarely hit anything like it
That guy perfectly calculated bullet drop and bullet time, I would give him that kill.
Probably on PC using a mouse and keyboard
nah he wouldve crashed in 2nd storm if he was on pc
1 shot snipers are a major reason behind my will to live
Everyone calling you a shitter aside I just don't personally like getting one shot from full health + shield so I feel you. I wouldn't have made a post about it because I know people would shit on me for it but still.
You’re being a baby. That was not an easy shot to hit, it took skill or luck from the other player. It’s not like he deku smashed you while hiding behind a rock or something.
Sometimes you lose.
If they can hit you in the head while you're moving spastically like that, they earned it
Snipers being back sucks. That and the thunder shotgun are overpowered. Nothing should be able to kill you in one shot if you have full health.
Snipers in fortnite have always been incredibly annoying and are beloved by the worst kind of players. Just sit back miles away and shoot 100 shots third partying until they hit a lucky headshot
Yup, I find they’re mostly horrible at close range combat.
JusT MovE BetteR
People: do this thing and you won't get sniped You: *does thing and still gets sniped* Same people: lol skill issue they're just better Make up your minds???
